We were down 18 at the end of the third, I still can't believe it.

We probably led that game for a combined 10 seconds.

Unreal.

For the game at least Harrington was 3-8 and Cadee was 0-3 and overall the Kings shot 16-31 @ 51% from the line.

They've got no one else to blame but supposedly after the game Childress chased after the refs and gave them a bit too.

Melb vs NZ 2:30pm Sunday on Gem

When i got home i flicked it on to fox sports news and they said the Kings dominated with the help of Harrington. In the first half I'm pretty sure he only had 4 points

We seem to get out rebounded a lot on the denfiensive glass. Kings seemed to have a lot of second chance point opportunities.

I also read that it was the biggest comeback in NBL history since the game went back to 10 min quarters

I think he had more than that but Williams commentary regarding Harrington was sickening. When he blocked "Get that trash out of here" when he scored "you can't stop that little man" when he spun and passed "that's NBA man, NBA moves" then at the end it was "get it to AL, you got to get it to AL!!!!!" It was brutal, it was blatant, it was crap. I saw someone say they liked it and that's fine I get that it was somewhat amusing but it was way over the top. The game is the entertainment and the pelican in the box should compliment it not try and over shadow it for mine. When Dwayne Russell is in love with you and tells you to calm down you know you're going over the top. Each to their own I guess. As I am no basketball expert I actually look to the commentators at times for clarification of the subtle nuances that appear in basketball officiating and there wasn't any of that last night.

Yes biggest comeback in 7 years and their free throw shooting was pathetic. As much as it was an Adelaide lead Randle reincarnation it's fair to say that Sydney were Kings of choking.

The atmosphere at any game at Adelaide Arena is always awesome when we get a run. Last night it must have been off the page. Tried to get tickets for last night but they didn't eventuate. Devastated in hindsight but looking forward to heading there soon.

It was very loud, The crowd made a lot of noise when Sydney went to the line as well. When Prewster missed the game winner it went nuts. Pretty loud as well when Randle put us in front at the line

That's the problem with Homicide doing commentary he did the game in Perth the night before and the whole game it was all about him. He just wouldn't stop going on about himself and his experiences in Perth. How many times did he call Randle ant-man last night? Couple of hundred? Pimping his Twitter handle with all that hashtag stuff too. He reminds me of the idiots in the Channel 9 commentary box during cricket season. The game is secondary, they're the show.

It might be mildly amusing for diehards but imagine a casual fan trying to watch last nights game with Homicide carrying on like a pork chop? I realise Fox are trying a few guys out especially for colour commentary but their broadcasts need more Derek Rucker and less Homicide IMO.

^^^Exactly this.

I'm incredibly protective in a strange way of the wonderful soundtrack of my summers with the 9 commentary team listening to most games with my Grandparents from aged 5-12. The Tvs were on in every room. I have been very boisterous of my distain for The Brayshaw/Warne ass kissing self indulgent boys club and that's what there was a hint off last night initially and then Williams exploded into a self servings parody of himself.

Whilst basketball probably has more of a place for it than cricket I still felt he was to over the top last night and I don't want to turn this into a whole debate but his commentary seemed to be at a different levels when the imports where involved in anything.

Completely agree on the Rucker call. Someone who can analyse, explain and articulate with the ability to get excited as required is more my cup of tea.

I heard Corey Williams' commentary last week in the Melbourne v Perth game and boy oh boy, what an absolute wanker.

He made no attempt at all to hide his bias against Perth (nor did Dwayne Russell really) and at one point even said "this is really pissing me off" when Perth got several consecutive offensive rebounds.

Someone needs to tell these clowns that in nationally televised sporting matches it's a pretty basic rule of thumb for commentators to at least attempt to be neutral. Doesn't matter how long you've been commentating for.
