Know it's happened on more than one occasion at clubs I've played at, no not just Macclesfield, where girlfriends/wives of the players haven't gotten along so the player has had to choose between the club and them.
On one occasion, the distressed female was the other half of a quality A grader and the female she didn't like was the other half of a very ordinary B grader and so he left the club but 4 years later he came back when he had split up with her and then tried to act as if he'd never left. unf*****believable!!!!!!
