Not sure why but he hasn't been bowling very much this year, and not very well. He didn't bowl against NEK before Xmas.

Only real spell was 11 overs v Rose Park in Rd 5.

Do you just go on stats? If so why are you in the team & im sure there's guys in Div 3 & 4 who have great stats?

Maybe Association and Coach need to look at themselves and ask why the best players in the comp won't play for them, things that make you go hmmm

HAHA! No I don't, in the case of Pidge I was going off what I saw when we played them, feedback I got from other clubs and yes in this case the stats. I don't think they really lie - not to mention if you go back over previous representative games, his record isn't actually very flash. Although I thought he was very good last year in the carnival, fact still remains he isn't bowling regularly and not nearly well enough - for a bloke whose supposed to be the premier quick in the competition..

Milly wrote:Maybe Association and Coach need to look at themselves and ask why the best players in the comp won't play for them, things that make you go hmmm

As for the second point, well I disagree - the only legitimate person who has flat out refused to play is Travis Uern, the others have provided perfectly valid reasons and have indicated their interest still in playing in future matches.

Also not sure what reason I have given players to not want to play in these games, I'm just a volunteer who was asked to take on this role, and have given up my own personal time and energy over the past two years to try and help out (last year with the 21's). If people aren't happy with my appointment then they should speak up - i'll happily step down and enjoy spending my spare time with my family doing other things.

I'd love Sharkey, but you reckon he would actually be interested in getting up early Sunday morning and heading out to Hallet Cove for an association game?

Plus Trav made it quite clear before xmas that the association wouldn't get any support from any of the Rose Park lads after the treatment of Cougar and I completely understand and respect that - its put me in an awkward position, but it is what it is.

Why? So you can ridicule and belittle the 12 blokes who battled hard all day for the association despite being out of their depth?

Was a tough day at the office yesterday, but still loved every moment of representing the Association. Although we chased leather all innings, it was good to see everyone still enjoying themselves and getting around each other. Although we weren't as compettive as we would have liked to be, it's still a great experience playing against good quality players.

Wont seem like much, but was the highest score we had made in a while:

2016 - 137 v A&SCA (Yesterday)
2015 - 81 v ATCA
2014 - 98 v PDCA
2013 - 110 v A&SCA
2012 - 76 v ATCA
2011 - 53 v PDCA

Also had 2x lads make 30s and 2x lads make 16 & 17, which isn't much, but it's actually the most contributors with the bat we have had in a long time also.

2015 - highest score of 16, 2x made double figures (16,10)
2014 - highest score of 50, 2x made double figures (50,16)
2013 - highest score of 36, 3x made double figures (36, 29, 21)
2012 - highest score of 25, 3x made double figures (25, 11, 10)
2011 - highest score of 10, only person to make double figures

Might not seem very good to the majority, but it's some sort of positive.. and I thought there were a few lads who were very good - a few that were well out of their depth unfortunately - but I think if can add some more top tier players to that group for the carnival it should hold is in good sted.
