I hope he plays better than Willets did last weekend .
Some of these AFL listed players need to take a leaf from Basset and Perrie's books when playing in a different seconds team. Both these guys last year showed how professional they were on and off the field .Both of course knew none of their team mates but both motivated the guys on and off the field (during breaks).

He surely couldn't be close to selection for the Crows based on his last 3 games for North which have been a mix of the very poor to just average at best. Quite a few North fans have been calling for his dumping to our Reserves but amazingly he bobs up in the ressies at another club? Why - it's not as if he needs match fitness having played the last 4 (incl. half a ressies game) at North or being close to selection for the Crows as I understand he is about to be put back on the rookie list and Biglands elevated from the long term injury list so it won't matter to the Crows if Macca starts to show his 2006 form they won't be able to pick him in any case unless a Roo or some other player goes onto the long term injury in place of Biglands?

The Crows would see it as a great opportunity for him to play with some legends of the game - Inkster, Colville, Passador etc. Something he is unable to experience on a regular basis...

McIntyre will/has been promoted again and Hentschel will be put on the long-term injury list.

Seeing as though Robert Shirley has been dropped from the Crows, will he play for the Eagles or will he be the travelling emergency?

I like the look of the side this week. Schwarze and Salter worked a great tandem last week up forward let's hope they can do it again. Bernie Vince is also a big inclusion and will certainly bolster our midfield. I'm hoping to see a much more dedicated outfit than the one that was outplayed by the legs at thebby earlier in the year. My prediction is Eagles by 27 points.

How true!!

Eags by 6 goals, Good inclusions this week of Vince & Pale Ale
Massie was a star last time we played.
Crows helping us out by calling up Campbell, & possibly Jericho but Shirls unlikely to don the eags guernsey.

Would Rob Shirley be an inclusion today as well? He's been dropped from the Crows.

Not sure about as an emergency, but the Crows named their 22 last night and out were Douglas and Shirley and in were Campbell and Gill. Hopefully they take Jericho as the traveling emergency!

One wonders is he actually omitted or does he have a injury concern of some sort. Geez I hope he does play, god he'd be a handy inclusion.

Not pleased with the last quarter and a half, but the 2nd and the first half of the third was the best footy I've seen them play this year. Just the pressure put on by everyone was top notch and this is what set up the match winning lead of 59 points around the 15 minute mark of the third.

I want to single out one bit of play for the match, this was by Dale Symmons. Just forward of the centre, grandstand wing, there were 3 Norwood players and him; ran up and put pressure on each player when they handballed, eventually one of them kicked the ball sideways, straight to Schwarze, he handpassed to Salter who goaled. =D> Fantastic stuff.

To their credit, Norwood fought out the match, they played well for the last quarter and a bit instead of losing their bundle completely.

Very pleased with what I saw today. A fantastic first half and as spelly said, that was as well as we've played and as well as we'll need to play to beat any team in the competition. Just need to do that for 4 quarters.

Norwood, aided by some very strange umpiring and some ill-discipline from some Eagles players, made the score respectable in the last half. McGuiness was their best I thought and a very good move by Hill at half time to put him forward. Vlatko also came into the game and their midfield led by Gallagher lifted. However, while they have players such as Bailey (who must have learnt his footy from Brett James), Bartemucci, Culpitt and Jericho who blatantly refuse to pick up a player and spend all day on their own getting cheap and mostly ineffective disposals, they'll never match the top sides.

Luke Jarrad put on a show today. Afforded the luxury of matching up on the lazy Luke Jericho, he carved up. An amazing mark on the wing turning in mid-air to mark the ball and set up a goal in front of Dejong as well as several other brilliant individual moments had him as my best on ground.

Schwarze and Salter were fantastic in the forward line and Grocke took one of the marks of the year on the members wing.

The Eagles set the standard of what they need to be in the first half today and I look forward to seeing just how far we've come next week at Elizabeth.

I couldn't make the ressies today (Finn McCool held me up). Any reports on how they went and how those coming back from injury faired?

Didn't see the reserves, but Jarrad, what a player he is. He does it every week, his spoiling, chasing, in and under play, as well as his pace is outstanding. He has been a standout for most if not all of this year.
