5 weeks in valleys, don't question Burgess on 5 weeks out of a 3 and a bit year period.

Akermanis? Pfft. Throw enough darts one will hit the board, but he's off the mark. Not by much, sadly, but off the mark.

Literally the only hope that I have for the season ahead, is that Burgess is keeping us at the same pace, whilst other sides burn out towards the end of the season. But what is the point of employing this fitness strategy (if it is indeed what Burgo is gunning for), when we are more than likely gone from finals contention before the bye rounds?

Are you not concerned by the types of injuries we are getting?

Hartlett, Wingard, Gray have all been withdrawn with Hamstring complaints thus far, and its round 6.

Conspiracy, or just rotten luck?

There is a difference between not being fit enough and not putting in the required effort.

I've seen plenty of port players jogging around, not too many that can't run because they are spent.

No not in football terms. Its typically 7-21 days I think. So really in terms of games and weeks saying 2-3 is probably fitting.

the way he sat on the bench last week, no attendee to any injury no ice pack or bandaging

he looked disjointed, just couldnt participate, devastated, bewildered

wingards got that look in him too

i doubt its a hamstring

something else is plaguing their thoughts, a controversy, a disbelief lol

 Like we'd fall for a Dank.

Hartlett - Gone nearly 18 months without one, hardly surprising to see him miss a few. He's as sound as he's ever been, body wise, but clearly still prone to soft tissue.

Gray - Been working his arse off, almost alone, for the first 5 weeks.

Wingard - Was more precaution that anything.

For mine? Who kicked the ******* cat at Alberton? Nothing more than rotten luck for those lads.

Agree, need to see how they go long term, maybe the program was to peak later in the year, but early signs certainly flag this could be a cause for concern.

It leaves unexplained how so many good players, in the prime of their careers, are so much off their game all at the same time.

Haha, was referencing past indiscretions, namely Duck and McGuinness.

Clearly, in '14, when 11-1 we peaked too early. I think last year we started very sluggishly, never looked like moving early. Hopefully this year is a blend of the two.
