Anyone who eats a Villi Dog with a knife and fork should be judged...and HARSHLY !!

Pie Floater & Iced Coffee much better option...you cover the food groups in one meal... :D
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

I used to do the reverse, send down Pauls Ice Coffee to my brother in SA!!

I think you'll find Paul ice Coffee outsells all other drinks in the NT too

When I lived in Horsham in 98 the last stop for FUIC was Nhill so every 2 weeks I would do the 45min drive to Nhill to pick up 14 cartons of the stuff. I did this for almost a year. 4 weeks after I moved back to Adelaide they started selling it in the supermarkets there... CRUD.

I was going to say it's everywhere here now, even in 7-11. Mind you doesn't effect me. I think I am the only South Australian in history that can't stand the stuff.

Love the Farmer's Union Iced Coffee. One of the things I miss about Australia.
I think I actually contributed to the growth of FU in a larger than small way. Back in my KFC munching days (before they began using palm oil to cook their food) I used to get a pack of KFC and then I would have to make a second stop at a deli to get an Iced Coffee, because I thought they were a perfect combination. It used to be a hassle making the two stops and difficult to order the value meal without the soft drink added to it (because no-one does that apparently) every counter worker couldn't figure out how to deduct the drink, and they would usually make mistakes with the math.
So one day, I began requesting F.U Iced Coffee from KFC. They didn't have it, so I'd tell them "Well you SHOULD have it!" Now, I am not the the type that usually requests a change of service at shops, or gives the part time staffers a hard time about stuff, but I thought this was important. My friends would always roll their eyes and tell me to give it a rest however, but I never wavered. For about two years my crusade continued, I'd suggest it without fail, and sometimes even would say to the person at the counter that they should tell their boss about it. "It is a good idea, maybe you'll get promoted?" Then one day, in the mid to late 1990's, there it was...F.U Iced Coffee at KFCs! I never had to stop twice again!
Was it me that caused the change? Did some part time kid take up my advice?
I like to think of myself as the father of the FU Iced Coffee/KFC combination, but I now use that illustrious title in the fight to stop KFC using Palm Oil to cook chicken. In the name of 300 football fields an hour of virgin Indonesian rainforest I make this stand, and vow never to eat the stuff again, unless they stop this practice.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

I used to drink FUIC, but over here I've moved to IC or Big M, which are easy to get. Somebody brought out a double coffee strength one but it has disappeared from the local shops, so I assume it tasted too much like actual coffee for the sugar and fat orientated popular palate.

You're dead right. I worked at Cadbury Schweppes in Melb (bottlers of Pepsi) and everywhere in the country their no 1 enemy was Coke. Their marketing was positioned directly against Pepsi and sales of Pepsi were being monitored against Coke.

Not in SA. In SA, Pepsi was being marketed against FUIC, and sales of Pepsi were being monitored against FUIC.

So as far as Cadbury Schweppes were concerned, FUIC does outsell everything, including Coke.

I think FUIC is now available in Woolworths / Safeway all round the country - but in selected supermarkets.

not in north queensland... I heard that there was not enough FUIC to go around the whole country, so the australian government implemented a new version of "the brisbane line"

Three.

I get my caffiene from the black fizzy liquid that rots everything it touches (free bottles of coca cola at work doesn't help my addiction much either).

i used to be majorly addicted to iced coffee when i was at school.
every free period i had, id have an iced coffee.
double frees called for two.

not to mention lunch & recess.
[our school canteen's food was basically inedible]

then i realised that i had an unhealthy relationship with them, so i stopped drinking them.

now i have a new favourite - nestea peach iced tea.
i tell myself that its good for me coz of the antioxident factor, but i try to ignore the fact they are basically ALL sugar..

Probably one of the best marketing campaigns I have ever seen. The tough guy drinks Iced Coffee stuff worked a treat. It is kind of considered the beer you can have when you can't have a beer. In the building and manufacturing industry where I have worked it was staggering to see everyone standing around drinking milk within days of the first campaign starting. As a non-milk drinker I was totally amazed and still am at instantly things changed .A ciggy in one hand and an iced coffee in the other to start the day .Instant coffee from the tea room or god help us Nippys orange juice got left behing in the race and has not been seen since due to a marketing ploy that continues today .I have seen guys taken the total piss out of for rolling up with a banana milk while iced coffee was clearly acceptable to the masses. Now you are a true South Aussie if you carry one around.
