Coffee drinkers piss me off no end.
Before work when I want to buy an iced coffee and a paper I have to wait 5 minutes while all the bloody latte drinkers get their coffees, FFS make it at work yourself you lazy pricks.
At lunch, go to the pub to get a beer, what happens? Have to wait 10 minutes while two bloody coffees are being made for people at the pub, WTF??
After work stop in the local deli for some tic tacs, have to wait another 5 minutes for some moron getting his coffee.

Most inconsiderate morons in the world are coffee drinkers who are too lazy to make it themselves. Lady that I sit next to at work assures me when you have a coffee plunger and get decent coffee it tastes a lot better than the stuff you buy at any coffee shop, pub or deli too.

Its not as though if you're into caffeine that we don't have the best Iced Coffee in the world already to go. FFS if you need something hot put it in the bloody microwave.
In my line of work, it seems a prerequisite to drink regular cups of coffee.
But noooo, suddenly there's variations to coffee that i can't pronounce.
I don't traditionally drink a lot of coffee, so i know so very little about the complex world of coffee and it's variations, uses, and subtle taste differences.
What's your favourite coffee, describe it, and how it is made and what the freakin hell it does for you that basic international roast doesn't do!
Anecdotes of how coffee can get you laid are also encouraged.
In the morning I have 1 spoon of Nescafe Gold & 1 spoon of
Jarrah's vanilla flavoured Latte. White with 3 artificially sweetened pills.
Its an extra large cup so it probably 1&3/4 times the size of a regular cup.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

She says that people who say incorrect have no idea about coffee or get the wrong coffee.

Look, do what you like you damn coffee drinkers as long as you go to a bloody Bean Bar or some sort of other coffee shop where I wouldn't even contemplate going, stay out of my pubs and delis you bastards!!!

At work I'm busy [the curse of being the boss not an employee] and take the quick solution - an electric kettle in my office and Moccona Classic freeze dried. At home we have a nice Italian Espresso machine.

I admit that as well as being fond of Chardonnay, when I'm out I'm a Latte man - no redeeming qualities here!
[Unless you count the time I went to a Fancy Dress Ball as Hagar the Horrible and all my alleged friends said I'd cheated 'cos I went as myself.]

Ol Wedgie hates the coffee drinkers.
lol.
I haven't got a massive issue with them, just don't know exactly what it does for you.
Some of it sounds intriguing, the macchiato especially, i still like the chocolate coated coffee beans idea.
I'm going to have my first coffee in say three weeks.
It will be instant, and shit compared to a latte and cappucino, apparently.
Lets see what the fuss is about.

Awwww yeah!
In coffee!
"You mice made me spill my macchiato,"
Drank my coffee for the month.
Three teaspoons of Int Roast, two sugars and milk.
Big cup.
It's like i'm a 14 year old who has just knocked off a stubby on an empty stomach.
The effect is instant.
My leg is twitching, fingers are shaking and be f....d if i can sit still.
Taste, not too bad, not too good, kind of like a fritz sandwich with no sauce.

Large mugs of strong tea and maybe a Coopers (to drown the sorrows  ) for me at 5am.

Don't drink much coffee but the best I've had here is at my hairdressers  . They have what looks like a table top vending machine...has the selection buttons on the front and the cubby hole for the cup etc. The big difference is that it uses whole beans...grinds them as required for each cup. I have a plain coffee with a splash of milk...not boiled, streamed, scalded or whatever...just normal milk. Only coffee I had to beat it was in Italy...capaccino at breakfast...fabulous. Word of advice for anyone going to Italy...don't ever order a capaccino at any time of day other than breakfast unless you like being treated like the scum of the earth. Thankfully we were forewarned but saw many who weren't.

you're right, i don't claim to be an expert... i wouldn't know the difference between a flat white and an orange mocha-frappachino... except that the latter may lead to spontaneous petrol fighting

In my previous job, my boss splashed out and got one of those machines for our group. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Had at least three large black coffees every day.

In my current job I must resort to bringing my own coffee bags :( Either that or walk to the cafeteria.

CHANGE THE WORLD ONE CUP AT A TIME

Australian businesses are being urged to help change the world by changing their coffee.

Oxfam Shop, the market leader in sales of Fairtrade products in Australia, has this week contacted thousands of businesses across Australia in a campaign to get more people to buy Fairtrade coffee.

The coffee comes from farmers who are paid higher prices for their beans and from producers that are Fairtrade-certified.

The “FAIRTRADE” label is an independent certification awarded to products around the globe. It is backed by an international certification and trade audit system that applies to all companies in the supply chain, right up to the final packaging stage.

The presence of the label assures consumers that their purchase will benefit disadvantaged producers, their families and surrounding communities.

Oxfam Shop Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Caruso said coffee was a daily essential in most offices and was therefore an easy way for businesses to make a difference.

“By doing something they already do every day, and replacing their current brand with Fairtrade coffee, they will be helping farmers to break the poverty cycle,” she said.

“We are offering businesses a discount as an incentive to try Fairtrade coffee beans, and we are sure they will enjoy it so much they will continue to buy it.

“Every business that makes the change to Fairtrade coffee can also be educating and informing its customers and clients, which leads to greater awareness of the importance of the Fairtrade system.

“The public is already supportive of Fairtrade products and we believe this will continue to grow as more products become available.”

Major Australasian energy supplier Origin Energy made the commitment to Fairtrade coffee in 2005, enabling 3500 employees to help drive change.

“We want our employees to enjoy a rewarding workplace,” said Origin’s Community Relations and Investment Manager, Sarah Clarke.

Change the world one cup at a time ..2

“Supporting Fairtrade products gives our people a chance to help make a real difference to the community."

Coffee has accounted for up to three-quarters of Fairtrade sales in Australia since 2003.

Retail sales of Fairtrade products exceeded $10 million in Australia and New Zealand in 2006. Of these, coffee sales totalled more than $8.3 million, with more than five million items sold in Australia alone.

More than five million people in 58 developing countries benefit from the Fairtrade system.

There are 16 Oxfam Shops in Australia, with another four to open by the end of 2007.

They stock a range of Fairtrade coffee (22 choices), tea (25 choices) and chocolate, as well as other food products and hundreds of homewares and gifts.

Coffee and tea can be ordered online at http://www.oxfamshop.org.au/coffee
