So IF the afl side plays for 2 more weeks = ravens have full selection rights for 2 weeks = 1st semi/prelim.
Does this then mean the restrictions apply for the next week which is the GF and they will have a crap side?
If the win in sydney and get to a prelim in the AFL they could go thru the sanfl finals with full selection rights (both teams sill playing)
Is that correct?

Once the AFL side is out, it has an affect on who they can select for the SANFL side because qualification kicks in (as I understand it). However I don't think it would effect the team they had on the park this weekend, so there's probably no reason the 21 from Saturday shouldn't keep going other than injury.
As another poster put in a separate thread, the bigger issue for SANFL Crows is if their AFL side finishes this weekend, usually the whole club wants to go into holiday mode. Really need the Roos to win this weekend.

My understanding is qualification kicks in immediately once the AFL team is out.
T o use this week as an example they will name both their teams thursday night, presumably Seedsman will be in the Ravens. If the Crows lose Saturday night to North then Seedsman and anybody else who isnt qualified must be with drawn from the Ravens team on Sunday. I would then suggest the Ravens would be played out of position so they can lose and all go on a nice holiday together and all come back to training at the same time in November

So they are going to bend the rules again are they?
I really dont think the Crows will have any issue withdrawing Seedsman if the AFL loses, their focus will become losing the game against South rather than winning
