Ok. I only saw bits and pieces and then watched the last 8 mins. Every time I tuned in there was a horrible decision that went against the Bombers.

Umpiring at the moment is absolutely disgraceful across the board.

did you see the poor deliberate decision in the WCE v Roos game. Sheppherd is about to kick it gets pushed in the back ball rolls out of bounds and gets called deliberate. He wouldn't have kicked it out of bounds if he wasn't pushed in the back. absolute disgrace[/quote]
Also it was funny watching the North player how was watching the ball go out. I thought it was funny but really a sad reflection on how the rule is applied.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

That's the most stupid part to me - the player has the chance to pick the ball up and use it quickly - surely that's advantage enough than giving a free kick away for deliberate!

Yep agree, that half volley pick up and turn against Adelaide was incredible. Could be anything if he keeps tracking along the way he is ATM

I thought the OBD on Lewis (?) during the Port game was ridiculous too. He kicked it from near the centre square, it skewed off his boot.

Couldn't disagree more. When the margin blew out to 40+ it looked like a 70 pt thrashing. North wrestled control back just over half way through the third qtr & had all the play in last. The Eagles were spent and our on ballers were dominating, we simply didn't have the polish in the forward 50 to make it closer.

North are playing well, they just aren't good enough to consistently beat top teams

Not at all.

As a team most of the players are in pretty decent form except maybe goldy who is carrying an injury.

Wells and Waite are huge outs for them and probably Jacobs too. And their replacements just aren't good enough to keep them as a top 4 team.

Well **** me I have to agree with Spargo, I reckon theres only 4 teams that give the same effort week in week out. You know exactly what youre going to get and North is one of them. They just arent good enough, they dont have the cattle at the moment. By the way I dont think they have the cattle full stop

The Eagles had you covered all day and they are the worst side in the 8. 3 goals at 1/4 time, 5 at 1/2, 5 at 3/4 and beat you by 5. Another 11 goal effort and you smashed them in hit outs and didn't win clearances.

Never looked in it when clearly it was a very important game for both sides. Instead of staying in touch with the top 4 you're 8th with a rubbish percentage. Not a very inspiring performance in a very important game. The only side in the 8 to lose to the Eagles.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Also, apart from the inform Adelaide, we're the only team in the 8 to travel to Perth to play them.
The Eagles' losses to Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, Sydney & Geelong were all away games. Not many beat these teams away. In fact I think only 5 top 8 teams have beaten other top 8 teams away this year out of over 30 matches.

You can find a stat for anything but what stats won't hide is North beat up on the lower sides in the first 9 rounds (and rightly so, that's the fixture you were given) but have been shown up by the top 8 sides which is putting them in a position on the ladder which I think everyone thinks where they should be, from 5th - 8th.

Yeah, if you had said at the start of the year north would be 10-5 everyone would have nodded their head, they just did it in a weird way!

We played them 4-5 weeks ago now. We weren't the inform side at the time when we knocked them off.
