Flinders Uni- have no "A's or B's" they ARE the A's

The thing I didn't get about this situation, is that the C1 comp has a bye because Henley's Cs and Ds play in Div 7. Why would the league not encourage Flinders Uni to play in the highest C Grade (C1) comp there is, considering it is their A Grade team, so to speak? Obviously they're up to it, looking at their dominance in C5 at the moment.

It's a C grade comp,I do not know why people are getting so cut up about it.Also they have lost this year.........It is just like a bad umpiring decision, accept it and get over it because there is nothing you can do to change it.I am sure the league had reasons for this.If people had genuine concern I think they should have informed the league at the start of the year.I'll put it on here that Flinders will NOT win the flag.Prove me wrong...............

when 1 team wants to play footy and the other side want to be gutless snipers and behind play, it kinda turns you off playing footy, this years comp has been good, but when its your last chance and your getting beaten and you do gutless crap , well not good and when your coach encourages it,,,,, well is it worth it. takes the fun out really. also when young children have to watch gutless acts,,, i really dont know how some people can live with themselves. seeing a 17 yo getting hit behind play because he out ran some one and beat them,,,,,,,, i dont know, what do you do. but really it takes a lot of guts to do it spec when their not looking and i spose broken jaws heal, correct. some people are weak as piss. this forum was fun but now its at an end. good luck kookas in the finals hope to catch up.( and im not talking of kenilworth being this team, they were a great bunch of guys) :(

He was referring to Fitzroy gentlemen- I'm sure we all have stories about acts on the footy field that would be better off not happening.
I have addresseed his post privately.

I see no reason why the room should not maintain it's friendly rivalry/banter.

agree Punk Rooster, SAAFL is trying to rid of the thugs and to make it a little bit more cleaner for the young players to start in the C grades and work their way up to the respective clubs A grades. Lets just keep up the fun banter on this forum on the way to the finals.

Well it looks like the final five are set.
Should be some good matches in the finals.

Bad luck Fitzroy for not makeing it, there were times when you probably were good enough.
However I dont think you were deserving because your style of game was some what ugly, hitting players behind play!
A poor 17 year old kid lost his teeth thanks to one of your players.
Any way enjoy the rest of your games.

I think the top 5 are all very deserving of being there. We have been a tad in-consistant over the last month but we are looking forward to the next 6 weeks ahead, hopefully getting a home final.......

This is news to me, & certainly something I would not condone- was it deliberate though, or in the course of play?

Feel i need to post in defence of Fitzroy here. Played the boys twice this year and found em to be a good bunch of guys, hard but all in all fair. Thats what you want in a game isn't it? Didn't see the GG game but its never good when a young bloke gets hurt, worse if it's behind the play. However to have a crack at the whole side because of one blokes action is pretty harsh.

cheers for the positive feedback.
We had a good hard slog against Golden Grove yesterday, unfortunately, we were 4 goals worse off.
A few decent hits dished out by both sides, nothing too untoward, both sides walked off having given their all, & shaking hands at the end.

PS Grundies, who do you play for?
