Westies would be spewing, one of the few wins they'd be expecting but now they have to battle the sacked coach syndrome.

I'll remember Robert as doing what no other South coach could do for a very long time in getting his team a finals win.
A meticulous coach who covered every detail but unfortunately for him had skillful cattle with the hearts of mice.
Good luck with your next venture Robert!

A few years ago:
An old SA stalwart supporter told the players he will not go to anymore games
because he had a heart problem
The players in unison said "Whats a heart"

I cannot believe how a club which has had so much player talent can perform
well below thier ability.
It might be easy to make Pyman the scapegoat.

Short term pain, I hope long term gain for the club and particularly for thier supporters

The sad part about it is a coach who did what noone else could do with South for donkey's years is the scapegoat and the people/person who appointed him to a 24 month contract and sack him after 8 months thus wasting 16 months payment for probably the highest paid coach in the league or close to it is still at the club.
Depending on a possible settlement with Robert the person/people that have wasted over 100k are still there.
Doesn't seem right does it?
Finals coach gets sack.
Person/people who throw 100k at least away stay.

The buck stops with the coach. He's had enough time to assemble the players he wanted. It clearly hasn't worked. Time to get someone who's going to build a club culture with the southern area of Adelaide at the forefront of their mind.

The board has to take some responsibility, however, no one would have questioned their decision to renew Pyman's contract at the end of last year. It seemed like they'd really turned the corner.

Well something had to be done.
After almost 4 years of his fulltime effort the team was clearly turning in uncompetitive efforts.
The cattle were not responding.
Gary Cameron will coach out the season.
The issue now is to find a new coach who can put a competitive team on the park at every game.
The SAFC will earn respect in 2008 anything less than that is unacceptable.

Soapy those 4 years were not a total waste
Your boys played some fantastic footy in 2006, and won a final
On the occasions I watched them play it was well worth the $9 admission
BUT then again its frustrating knowing thier capabilities and not seeing it more

Mal, fair call from you.
But we have had a enough of the efforts we have seen this year and they have continued to get worse.
Absolutely no response from a skilled bunch of players.
Some thing had to change and now it has, now we have to make an impact on season 2008.

New coach means same players will get yet another period of time to prove they have heart. Its one of the reason Norwood reappointed Trevor Hill so that players wouldn't have the opportunity to hide their efforts to a new coach. The way some of the South players have stood up this year it seems criminal that a lot of them will get another chance and waste yet another 12 months of South supporters time.

You bloody beauty!!! A coach that lost the total respect of the playing group. It was time to change. 4 years with nothing to show. After finals last year, this year has been a disgrace.
The buck stops with the coach.
Wedgie, Pyman was way to complex for the South Adelaide Football Club and seemed to have game plans that were extremely complex and over the top. The players at the end were playing in fear and spite. I also though think the board at South has got alot to answer for too!!!

The South Adelaide Board "Pyman will be there for 2008" :^o
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!
