5 year deal then, thoughts @Dutchy ?

Unbelievable,,,,, 22 games in last 2 years, 8 goals and one Brownlow vote....here you go here is 5 years and top $

You would have thought if any club had learnt about long term deals Richmond would be the one....

Bar the Dimma debacle who else have we given long term deals to that have backfired?

Gaspar. Resigning Houli Maric Conca and Grigg sums up where you are at.

I love how people in the media are saying Richmond finally landed a big fish. He's not. He's a good player but not a star.

I'll give you Wallace, but no issues with our Lids contract. He wants out for success & the bloke deserves it. We will get something back for him so no dramas there.

Geelong really all in now aren't they? Giving up a 1st rounder for Touhy.

Yep. About pick 15 at the end of the day. And Gibbs will be pick 13 and maybe an add on. Just goes to show you that its pointless comparing deals from trade to trade let alone year to year.

Probably also shows the difference in trade value between a player who 'wants out' and a player who is chased by another club.

You could make an argument that the value between the two is to great.

Yep, had to request special permission from the AFL to get the trade done as they now have traded their first out 3 years in a row. They now have to somehow get 2 first round picks at the next draft or face sanctions
