Stumps Day 1.

Australia 0/105, trailing by 137.

Very good day for the Aussies.

Could hardly be a more dominant day. But England thought the same a few years ago at the end of day 1 and went down 5-0. Got to make the most of this because SA are dangerous. Steyn head and shoulders above all other quicks in the last decade while Philander and Rabada are seriously capable. Just got to avoid them getting a run on in this test and let them get most of their wickets when we look to press on. Nothing more deflating for a fast bowler than knowing the wickets were brought on by a team trying to set up a win.

His start was awful, reminded me of a C grade bloke having his first net of the season.

Warnie talking about Steyn bowling at 145km/h.

He said ( something like ) "Go outside for a bit, watch the cars go past and imagine what that's like over 22 yards"

Seriously, the bloke who used to be Shane Warne, SHUT THE **** UP! Despite all of them growing up listening to Richie not one of them learnt a ******* thing from him, if you don't need to say it, ******* don't!

Channel 9, you suck.

How does the cricket.com website not have initials to denote which Marsh took the catches?

Such a nervous stater but he got through the intial onslaught from Steyn and looked more solid once he got settled. What I want to know is, is he such a nervous starter in Shield cricket? Never seen him start a Shield innings, is it a habit that he has in just test cricket or is he like that at all levels?

Doesn't matter how far down the pitch he was. Was a tough one but I don't have a huge issue with it
