So, they don't stick to just treating overridden spinal articular facets, which is what manipulative therapy can do some good for.

Bullshit.
No matter how much neck or shoulder pain you have, it's not going to go away if the spine isn't in the right spot.
Dicky hamstring? most comes from pelvic mis-alignment. No manner of exercises will strengthen it if the muscle is under constant pressure by being tilted too far forward.
Not saying by anymeans that EVERYTHING is linked to the spine but I do know you're wasting your money if you go to physios for certain treatments.
I woke up with wry neck one Christmas day - horrible - and the only available professional to see was a physio at sportsmed the next day. He massaged it and told me to do excercises. Biggest waste of money ever.
I guess choosing health professionals is just like anything - theres good and bad in every profession.
I live by my chiro, he's great - @Valleys07 can attest to this.

100% correct.
Physio or Dr depending on the complaint.

bennymacca wrote:for those that sit at desks: the best thing i ever did for my back pain was get a new chair. My work got someone in to do an ergonomic assessment for me.
I am 6ft tall, and a "standard" office chair has a base that is 450mm deep. That is for someone about 5ft 6" apparently, though that is the default size.
So i got a chair that is 525mm deep instead, and it has literally solved all of my back issues that i was having.
