Watched that some time ago. Not sure it would make my 'good' list, but certainly a 'meh/not bad' at worst.

did not even realise there was a "meh" thread.
it wasn't bad, so I thought would go in here.
but would go in there if I could go back in time and relive my mistake.

I thought it was awful, very boring. Was expecting much better.

Lobbed in Melbourne a couple weeks ago about 6.30 in the morning, well before motel room was ready so headed into the Crown. Was tired and looking to kill time so once they opened I grabbed a ticket to the flicks upstairs. Had no idea what any of the movies were about, so just Opted for the earliest available - La La Land. Looking to snooze for a bit (managed to do that for previews and about the first 10 mins or so, woke up to a crackin fly entertaining fillum. Hate musicals usually, but this was awesome, highly recommend.

Finally got around to watching Concussion the other day.

It gives a really good insight into what the NFL actually knew and when they knew it. Now the outcome of the class action makes sense. The NFL are a very shady organisation.

Mrs HH3 walked in about halfway through and asked what I was watching. I told her not to watch it because she'd overreact. She already gets worried about the head contact.

Having watched Trainspotting 2 last night, I can say I really enjoyed it. It was nice to revisit these characters who formed such a massive a part of my early adult life.
Welsh's writing is as stunningly prolific, gritty and socially aware as always, while Boyle's ability to make a script come alive is as good as ever.
I've wrestled with my thoughts about this fillum: was it good, or was it just the 'nostalgia hit' that is alluded to by the characters?
Yep, it's a good film and keeps the flame of the original well and truly burning, but I couldn't help but walk away thinking it missed a certain kind of oomph.
I felt nothing at the end, just a vague sense of having enjoyed a shout out to my movie-viewing past.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I expected too much.
I'll most definitely watch it again, the characters beg that, as does my love of them and the work (which includes the soundtrack) itself.
This isn't a negative review, I think it may say more about me and where I've moved to in my life - and maybe, just maybe that's the whole point of the film.
There's no shame in being comfortable in who you are (warts and all) and the friends you have and, most importantly, there's no shame in choosing life and the ones you love.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

It showed him in the dim light he should be shown in.

If you feature in a movie and you're played by Luke Wilson, you know people don't hold you in very high regard.

Went and watched Logan this morning. One of the better Marvel films I reckon. Brutal action with a very heart felt story actually and quite sad being the end of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. He was excellent once again.

Yeah crazy how they got away with a MA15+ rating for it. When I was checking the session times for Friday I was surprised to see it not have the R rating. I think it's rated R in the US?

Saw 'T2 Trainspotting' last night, and share the same view. Good film (overlooking to odd plot hole or two) and great soundtrack as to be expected, but it sort of resolved a quesiton that hadn't been asked.

I read a review that compared it to seeing a concert from band that's reformed from the nineties - it's great to see them once again, and it taps into your feelings of nostalgia, but you can't help but think that you might've been better off with your memories of how it was at the time.
