I've got $10 on the Power at 26/1 to take out the NAB Cup ... Should be stung by last seasons performance, appear realtively healthy and have taken out this comp twice before ... If they can get past the Cows at the weekend, which I reakon they might, then they could be every chance!!

Watson did finish tied for third and that gets me 80 dollars for my 10 dollar bet (forgot to mention he was paying $8 to finish in the top 5.
Had a good show of winning the tournament, not that it would have made any difference to my bet mind you.

Tiger Woods is good value (for him) at $4 to win the Ford Championship on the PGA tour, which is starting in about 4 or 5 hours time.
Ernie Els and Vijay Singh are at $11 but I'll be having a dabble on Woods.
I'll also stay on the Bubba Watson bandwagon to finish in the top 5 at $17 ($81 to win)

This is the same tournament and golf course that Craig Parry won in 2004 when he holed the 6 iron in the playoff.

Zach Johnson finished 4th last year and was in good form at the match play last week.
Tough field but I think he is good value at $41.
Charley Hoffman is a long shot $251 who has been performing pretty good in his rookie season.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Will be putting money on Tiger to win at Bay Hill on the USPGA Tour at $3.25.
Very short for golf but Woods will be priming himself for next months US Masters and he is in great form at the minute.
Even this far out I would suggest to get on him for the Masters as well. The tournament seems to be made for him.

Was a bit remiss of me to mention that he has won this tournament 4 times already.

No good here. Woods finishing a disappointing tie for 20th in a tournament won by Aussie Rod Pampling. Still like him for the Masters, especially given they have lengthened Augusta out to a monster 6810 metres (7600 yards).

Interesting read to travel back in time and look at some of the confident Future Bets - on 7 Dec 2005 I put $10 on Mattner to win the Brownlow @ $200 - he consequently has a few handy games during the year but generally he was down on his 2005 form and deservedly completely ignored by the media while they pump up Goodwin's chances. Final brownlow tally - Mattner beats Goodwin - unbelievable....
