With the match on a Tuesday (ie not on a weekend / long weekend) not many will be away.
It doesn't take many people to gave a good atmosphere at Unley, a crowd 6-7K would be awesome.
PLUS it should also mean a good income generator for Sturt.
Why should the Premier give up a home game with it's resultant gate, bar & canteen income?
Instead they should be rewarded with hosting the biggest game of the minor round...... good move for mine.

You do have a point though. Especially when the over zealous security evict people from around near the scoreboard in the 3rd quarter after they have been there all day

I've stood there often, usually when therisingblues junior has migrated over from the play ground. Usually there's a bunch of people there.
Never been asked to move.

Interesting assertion Spargo.
What leads you to that conclusion?

Not enough Eagles fans to warrant it. The SANFL didn't want a repeat of last year's fiasco.

Sturt v Eagles on Anzac Day at AO would be a different story. The SANFL have missed an opportunity to promote the league if this is their thinking.

Clubs normally sort them out early in the new year.
I'd expect to hear something in the next couple of weeks.

Granted this years match wasn't good, but there were more Eagles supporters than Westies fans at the game. Given Sturt is competing next season that should automatically guarantee a bigger crowd.
