Think a small group of a dozen or so are meeting for a run on Monday nights with the main session on Wednesday nights getting 25 - 30. Would be a lot of kids in that number, normally is. I can't confirm though as training isn't somewhere you'll spot me this year!!

surely cricket must finish soon....then all the old has-beens can get put back on the shelf for another 7 months. Fair dinkum, next to bowls cricket has to be the qunintessential "I was good once just ask me" sport.

Congratulations to WF on a sensational Centenary pitch yesterday, best i've seen for some time. Hard, flat, minimal grass, good even bounce & carry. Top job. SH's umpiring also good, very consistent for both sides. Yes boys i know, stark contrast to my last, but credit where credit's due.
Spitt, don't know who u r but guessing you've never faced SES "mediocre bowling" attack. you're kidding yourself if you call stiffy, skinny, tuffy, smithy etc mediocre. stick to wiping the dribble off your chin.

Snozza u are right , i should give credit where its due, stiffy has been the best bowler going around EP for along time and has carried his side many times in finals and no one can argue with that. But for the other three bowlers, they are just back up bowlers who suffer from stiff necks after most games.Todd coombes is their only batsman and jules can bat but doesnt know if he is arthur or martha this year.Smith has figures on the board so i cant be to harse towards him.LOOK forward to playing SES this week.

Whats this i hear about craig holmes going around and investigating this reidy episode.REALLY come on who gives a rats wot CH has to say, obviously has got nothing better to do.

congratulations must go to tasmans in making GF,or should i say Hogan carried tassies to GF.Must be a bit concerning for m smith, all seems to easy straight in, batsmen in middle to lower order not getting batting time the last month.LOOK OUT SES or Charlton.

Shields won 10-8 in the under 16's, then smashed coyote's in the B grade (not sure of the score)
Coyotes won the A grade by 7 runs, 19-12. All in all we were pritty shore that if you added all the runs scored for the day together it would be more than Charlton scored on Sat. Fantastic junior grand final, as predicted, easily the best game of the day. Congratulations to Stuie and all his boy's. Couldn't have been prouder of my guys, written off by everyone else good to see them show some courage. Was expecting to have a beer with Mav but obviously too piss week to eat humble pie. Once again Mav=Corward=Troll

You are right Spitt, our middle order haven't had much time in the middle over the last month, but a flip of the coin decides that, not me, & i've copped a flogging in the fines book! Is it a bad thing? Time will tell I guess, but nothing wrong with practise chasing totals. No concerns from my end, our batsmen chomping at the bit. CH visited our training thurs night, asking my version of events in regard to CR & saying that he had been asked to investigate. What authority or capacity he holds i don't know, but told him i thought situation had been blown out of all proportion with too many Monday's experts getting onboard. Yes CR f***ed up, but an in-house phonecall from association president on the Monday after letting CR know of their dissapointment would've been sufficient. Now it sounds like another delegates meeting will be wasted while it goes round & round the table, instead of getting on with more important things. Care to reveal your identity Spitt?

Can anyone tell me Craig "hawkeye" Holmes' position in the association this season? pretty sure it's "spectator" When will this guy just get Austar and watch the games in south africa and leave us alone. you've buggered up port lincoln cricket enough fella, keep your f**king nose out of it. I didn't agree with what C.Reidy did in the GF last weekend, but he was the captain and I'm pretty sure it's up to him to make the decisions. If we won, less would have been said, the issue maybe should have been dealt with prior to the game starting as he would have known of the situation for at least a few days.

Not sure what umpire situation will be like for Grandfinal, but would anyone like to offer their services if only one umpire is appointed to the A-grade match?

By the way I'd like to say I thought Colin Murdock's umpiring on Sat was excellent. First game we've had him and thought he was very consistent, which is just what you want in finals cricket. Good to see another umpire jump on board.

Also have been told the meeting's been rescheduled for next Monday. Is this correct?

WAD: yes M.Bilney not a very happy man saturday, seen him saturday night and didnt look impressed, he reads this site im sure he may post a reply.

End of the year for us, finished where we deserved to for the year. Not that it effected the outcome of the game but Reidy had to leave for the baseball grandfinal while we were still batting at 8 down. Maybe if we had pegs for the mat earlier and bowled quicker the game would've finished before 7 o clock. Hopefully there might be a few changes in the team next year to get us back up there. Congrats to eags and the boys, at 2 for 2 i thought we were a chance but you bounced back well.
