Rances much worse, a deliberate strike where Mitchell tripped Selwood and he landed on him. No comparison with those two.

Nope.

Rances' was two actions, not a good look. Using the MRP statements I'd say medium impact, to the head, reckless.

Selwood's however, IMO, is higher impact ( force ). As above, high impact, to the head, perhaps careless not reckless as I noted before.

He must get a game. He dropped his elbow into the back of the player on the decks head.

Definately careless and high, can't disagree there. I just think its a natural reaction to stick your arm or arms out when you've been tripped or fall. If the rules say careless and high is a game then so be it but unlucky IMHO.
I think I'm pretty impartial as I was one of the first to say Hawkins should go.

Might I add I really hate headlocks, but Mitchell's reaction was probably because he didn't realise it was accidental and Joel seemed to acknowledge that. Why didn't the umpire close by pay at least one free kick?

Selwood does more than just try to break his own fall as far as I can see, he buries his arm into Mitchell. That will be the difference between careless and reckless IMO. Careless if he just fell, reckless if he went at Mitchell, which I think he did. 2 down to 1 for mine.

Let's see how the MRP view it on Monday.

1 week for mine. The double action of Rance got him the 2nd week.

That said, I think an elbow to the back of someone's head is worse than a jumper punch to a guy who is looking at you and engaged in the niggle, so comparing Selwood to Hawkins I recon he should get 3.

I think the only thing that is against Sellwood is it was one hand out to brace for the fall & one elbow

Whisper around that Jake Carlisle may be a late out.

Also, Dusty left the track early yesterday...

Montagna just a lolliepop kick out of defence down the middle. Lucky not to get punished
