If I wanted to spend half my day in a car to get to work i'd go live in Sydney
I pick Kelly up form around the corner from you at 5pm every Thursday, I don't envy your task, I've learnt to tackle it straight down the guts though through Jeffcott on to Morphett and turn right at Hindley, although at the moment you can't turn right on to Hindley between 7am and 4pm.
This is how I go home (other way round of course ) and I take Weymouth, not Hindley- mind you, whilst it used to take heaps off my travel time, i'm finding quite a few others now with the same idea, most of them with no idea how to merge correctly into Light Square/Morphett St.
Now also with these new fandangled intersection at NE/Nottage tce, it banks right up - who knew that spending millions of $$ on intersection improvements would make your trip home 10 mins longer Yeah, big improvement

Where abouts in Melbourne do you live & where do you work. I've been driving to Melbourne on & off for 10 years & I can't recall a time when the Metropolitan ring road didn't have road works. What's the train system like in Melbourne, Sydneys is awesome, can get from the airport to Newcastle for under $20 with 1 train change at central station.

Na, some smart arse dick at work. He pushes my buttons with "all at" emails and then licks my balls when he's around.

Takes me 10 mins taking the ring route, takes 40 mins through town. Actually takes me longer to get home at 1am as the lights don't change as efficiently.
Even when I was at Prospect it took me 5 mins to get home via War Memorial to Park Tce. Took me 30 mins plus sometimes taking the direct route.
People are silly going through town but they make smart people's lives easier so I appreciate it.
