WA people would be thinking he doesn't get the credit he rightly deserves. They're right. Like SA people and Warren Tredrea.

Pretty close imo. Would have to say Priddis just but thommo polled really well in the Brownlow in a few years and could have easily won one too.

Thompson has polled more Brownlow votes than any other Crows player.
Even more than Roo and McLeod according to Roo himself.

Under rated by many, squeezed everything out of his body that was possible and one of those players you'd love to play with.
Absolute Champion.

Can not be called a 'Champion' in my opinion. Champion title gets thrown way to easy for mine.

Those stats are brilliant.
Champion of that football club.
Will never get the champion tag from those in the media and outside WC as he wasn't great to watch
But a real footballers footballer. Similar to Lenny Hayes,Simon Black like player.

Surprised he only played 240 odd games.

He was one of those that tore up lower leagues for years before being given a chance right?

Played for a few years at Subiaco but was overlooked in the draft 4 years in a row. Funny thing is he attended the Crows draft camp but the Crows overlooked him in the rookie draft

Yep, rookie listed at age 21 in 2006 after winning a Sandover Medal (2006) and 2 flags with Subiaco ( 2004/2006 ).

On a side note, is he the only rookie listed player to win a Brownlow and not be in the AA side the year he won the Brownlow?

South Adelaide nearly had him at the end of 2005, too.

Still not over that win, epic stuff.
Simpson would consider going into the bin trying to find Mitchell,Priddis and Petrie contracts, they were great Saturday night.
Now onto GWS, I like our chances, we play ok at Spotless.
Simpson needs to play someone in our half when the ball is deep in the back half.
Kick to CHB, try win it, turn and go straight to that 1-1. Otherwise we will go for long periods without scoring, you can't afford to do that against GWS.
