Nah, Essendon and Melbourne are equally as troublesome for Port. West Coast give us trouble at Adelaide Oval too. Bulldogs might find something come finals time.

I really don't think there would much of a preference - other than sneaking into 4th and playing the Tingles of course.

That one of them would be guaranteed another final the following week whilst either Sydney or Melbourne (who are both far better sides) won't would be a shame.

I'll give you Sydney but Melbourne aren't a "far better side" than Essendon or Port.

Every year there are team that struggle with form or injuries that still make finals. Doesn't mean they cant impact though.

True, Melbourne aren't a far better side, but I bet they're the ones you'd least like to face, even in Adelaide, out of them, Essendon, WCE or bulldogs.

Having said that, they'll probably lose to Collingwood and miss the finals.

Melbourne and Essendon are running out of gas. Port had an ordinary month leading into the Showdown, got smashed and have built slowly with a bit of a battle over Collingwood, looked strong late against the Dogs and hopefully get some confidence against the Suns this week at home.

Of the three, Port > Melbourne > Essendon.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Bulldogs won't have anything to do after this weekend.

Reckon we could still take you at Etihad but I don't give us much hope of winning over here.

You should, we've sucked majorly at Adelaide Oval for a while now against anyone other than the cellar dwellers and Hawthorn.

Melbourne>Port>Essendon. You've been underrating the Demons all year. Melbourne aren't running out of gas they are getting blokes back. Hogan one week back six goals. Angus Brayshaw looking really good now with the helmet (reminds me of Aishy), Neal Bullen and Pederson playing career best football, Hibberd dominating in the backline. You'd be hoping to play Essendon at home I reckon. Demons will take you out, even at the Oval.

Just like we are capable of doing, they're very capable of losing the ones they are meant to win. When they ( or we, for that matter ) start to win the ones they're meant to, I'll trust them. I can't at the moment.

Also looks more and more likely Viney won't be back, that doesn't help them

We're talking about the same Melbourne that scraped past St Kilda and Brisbane, smacked by GWS and beaten by a hapless North in the last month, right?

Or are we talking Andrew Gaze's late 90s Melbourne Tigers?

Bit like which Port are you talking down? The one who has easily accounted for Collingwood and the defending premiers in the last two weeks?

Latest from Héritier Lumumba

The nickname ‘Chimp’, that was used during my time at the Collingwood Football Club is just one of countless examples of institutionalized racism within the AFL.

The systematic nature of racism in the AFL is evident in the operation of Recruitment and List Management departments of football clubs; the management of players by agents; the AFL’s failure to protect its highest profile Aboriginal player, Adam Goodes, from ongoing racism that effectively ended his career; the AFL and Collingwood Football Club’s failure to sanction or penalise Eddie McGuire following his comments comparing Adam Goodes to an ape.

Furthermore, players like Joel Wilkinson, who have been direct victims of racism, have been threatened and silenced when their experience disrupts the AFL’s comfortable multicultural narrative, along with having their recruitment and careers jeopardized for speaking out.

It is disappointing that so far the Collingwood Football Club have chosen to minimise and dismiss my experiences. I’m further disappointed, but not entirely surprised, that the AFL and the AFL Players’ Association have made no comment whatsoever about the issues I have raised.

I am grateful to the players and former teammates who have stood by me and confirmed my story like Shae McNamara. I also recently spoke to Leon Davis, who said “Your experiences of racism at Collingwood were a continuation of my own experiences at the club. I stand side by side with you.”

Always enjoyed Drew's commentary. Grew up listening to him on C7 and in more recent years on radio.

Not sure his last twitter post was a photo of him and Cam Smith from the Storm sitting next to each other on a flight from Sydney.

Wife apparently found him unresponsive in front of the TV last night.
