I'm not the most IT savvy so I need some advice on something:

Our downstairs TV picks up wifi and we watch youtube straight from it.

Our upstairs one needs to have a laptop plugged into and I need to run the laptop off of hotspot on my phone.

On the weekend the kids bought a new GTA PS game which they have been playing online and since then my laptop drops out after only a few minutes, would them playing the game have anything to do with it? I've only used about 60% of my data through my phone and about 45% through the broadband with 3 days left for the month.

Need more info. Is the PS connected to the hot-spot or the broadband?
Which provider are you with for phone and broadband?

Telstra, we have very good connection and speed generally, it's a package that links both our phones and the broadband, 35GB of shared data via the phones and 700GB via the broadband per month.

OK, cheers, someone at work said because it's a car game it will soak up more than the usual games they play, I thought it was too much of a coincidence.

I'll try running it straight off my phone or put a cut off time on their game play time.
