Eadie please confirm that this is the case and you haven't been silenced :)

You can also ask any of the moderators as the software that runs this site keeps a full log of all moderation and who does it, basically noone including myself can get away with deleting people's posts without an explanation to the person involved and the other mods.

People have been whingeing about them ever since the first ball was bounced in the day dot....alright on one day you might get a raw deal but over the whole season Im sure it pretty much evens up, it would be very rare to get a raw deal for the whole season, some days it goes your way sometimes it doesnt...its something we cant control so better of having a yell for 2 seconds at the time and then concentrating on the next contest, trust me you will feel better...

You know Dutchy normally I would not agree with you but I am going to right now .
There were decisions that went both ways and the umpiring was not that bad .
Holding the ball was strange all day one of Jarrads tackles was really fast and it was paid holding the ball. The one in front of the EAGLES goal that passador tackled the north guy was called play on.
And I think that Lomas or Fairclough were given a free nowhere near the ball and it was called holding didn't see who was holding normally these are let go. And they were let go in the fourth quarter in Norths forward line or the umpires were out of position.
The only other glaring ones to me were in the back and as I stated in another thread both teams had players falling forward north just a few more.

I think that the umpires were ok things went both ways IMHO.

north fans werent complaining last week when they were wrapped in cotton wool against us.

im not sayin the umps were indicative of the result, north simply outplayed us but the man handelling of callinan all day was a disgrace and when we showed any malice toward a north player of similar eptitude to what was being applied to us it was a quick free to you....

besides, we get murdered by the umps week in week out; it just doesnt happen all that often to north due to the SANFL trying to stay on the right side of your high profile coach

Fair enough mate, thanks for explaining it to me. Crikey, we better hold onto Jars if the SANFL direct their umpires to give us a good run to stay on his good side, I'll shoot off an email to the SANFL immediately thanking them.

Now come on Wedgie, you know Jars always had problems getting off the ground in a marking contest. Sky's probably a little too high... ;)

I acknowledge that bad decisions , 50/50's in front of goal hurt a side.

But to analyse how free kicks down the field turn into goals is speculative at best.

If a dubious free kick is given outside 50, ball goes into teams forward line and then there are continuous ball ups and throw ins and after two minutes a goal is snapped from a ball up , is the previous free kick the reason for this goal?

Or if a boundary throw in goes over the ruck and someone swoops on it and a goal results , is this a bad decision?

You can sook all you like about umpires making bad decisions but too call them cheats and actually truely believe that they are makes you one donut short of a birthday party

your mistaking *a* with many and *outside*with inside.honestly mate u guys were given the game no doubt.

Forget the crap about the umpires costing North the game. North were the better side for 3 quarters but got smashed in the other one.
It wasnt the umpires who made 4 or 5 crucial errors in the last few minutes, it was the players thru lack of skill or belief.
I have never blamed umpires for a loss and Im not about to start now.

I only watched the last quarter on telly, so not sure about the umpiring standard for the first three.

From an unbiased view, I thought the umpires(in the last) were pretty much OK, and in no way lost the game for North.
It was actually a sensational quarter of footy!
Much better umpiring display than the AFL shite i usually see on telly.
North nearly pinched it, so their fans would be dissappointed. So often we see supporters vent their frustrations at the maggots.
Bernie Vince at ground level in the dying moments was probably the 1% that got the eagles over the line.

Either that or the North supporters just wern't passionate enough! :yawinkle:
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!
