General rule is the more starts in a Maiden before the promotion to C1 the greater
incidence of being unplaced at the CI debut

I RUN very low risk
2 RUNS low risk
5 RUNS risk
8+RUNS very big risk
15 runs enourmous risk
25 runs ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

If a horse wins a Maiden within 1-3 runs its prob a good horse and can be placed in CI debut
When horses are stuck in Maidens for a while they are below par horses

MR5-3...51.....[ $4-00 ][but has only had 2 starts so is not a big risk]
QR6-4...9401S [$6-00]
QR 6-5..50571 [$7-00 ]

So you would risk the 4 & 5 in QR R6 to not run places? MR R5 you wouldnt risk?

2 unplaced the other 3rd PAID $2-90 a place
If you backed all 3 for the PLACE you would have lost 10 cents !
If you backed them EW or WIN ONLY you would have lost

No picks today
Only bush track is Murray Bridge
There are no last start winners in the Race 10 CI event

But just for interest there were 3 horses who won thier MDN and missed a place in the C1

R10-3...4S317
R10-8...310S6
R10-11..169S3

All three ran poorly first start in a C1

[3] was $4-80 on debut in the C1
[8] was $5-50 on debut in the CI

When I was a place only punter years ago at set bookies odds, I made
considerable profits just betting on CI races throughout Australia
I had a 20 point plan to evaluate a place system that was very profitable
The system works between NOV /MAR in the summer months

The one thing I learnt was NEVER back a MDN to CI horse on debut

DUTCHY find me a bookie that bets set odds for a place and I will give you a hug!
If the bookie bets us 1/4 of the win odds for the place we can smoke cigars + eat caviar

I have viewed Centrebets Place betting on the races that would meet my criteria
After viewing thier place odds I can-not do any business with them

The TAB is a waste of time as well for Place betting

I will continue to search for a outlet that will bet 1/4 of the odds in ALL races
