Not only is creek good with the elbows but is even better with the mouth what a loser what a waste of space he is
Raggies you just have to play one on one & tight & they will fold like a deck of cards There is only 4 players to stop & they are history

Yeah and BTW,

That was the worst umpired game I have ever played in.

Never have I seen two teams mroe in agreeance about the lack of common sense or skill in the umpiring.

At the end of the game, we were all laughing With the PAOC boys about how terrible they were.

It was like They didn't know the rules.

you know the saying "umpires decisions dont effect the outcome of a game"?
that maybe true but they can have an influence on the momentum of one.
we must have had 20 odd frees to 5 against us in the first half of our clash with Walkerville.
The holding the ball desisions on saturday has got me confused. Walkerville ruckman grabs ball from a ball up in their goal square - tackled by two EPFC players, ball rolls of his boot and given the goal, we asked the question about taking the ball in a ruck contest & being tackled.........his response "there is a 5 second rule on getting the ball away"...................what the!
Our players getting tackled but getting the ball out to team mates were caught holding the ball (must come under the 0.5 second rule)......they break a tackle get caught on the second/third tackle and ball's it up.
There was the usual 2 umpires on the ground but only 1 was doing the calls. This particular umpire done most of the middle and Walkervilles forward line. Last quarter we were 7 goals down he gives the reins to the other umpire who's only decision he had to make was which jocks to wear for the day. Guess what happens.......... 15 minutes to go we are 15 points down on a roll and getting deserved frees when they were there. Then the other umpire takes over from the central umpire and things started to go pear shaped for us.......stupid decisions. Dont care if they were silly decisions but have it go both ways.
Not saying we were cheated on but we could not tell which way they were going to call on a decision.
Walkerville played very well and deserved the win, i would say they are in with a big chance.
We have had a good year and are happy how we were a lot more competitive this year.
Good luck to all for this saturday.

Burglar, everyone at our game last Saturday saw how bad the umpires were. And how feral were the supporters in the stand? Im starting to wonder why we're the only club labeled as 'feral'. Im disappointed we didnt make the 5 but theres always next year now. So good luck to all teams in the finals with the exception of S/West of course

What chance does anyone give Iggies of knocking off Salisbury West this week?

They have some pretty handy players in Rolfe, Calabrese & Frinsdorf.

They seem to lift for the bigger games but will be a tough assignment to win at Salisbury Downs.

I know the lads at Old Igs are pretty confident of winning this one. Should be a great atmosphere up at Salisbury Downs.

I dont know how Old Iggies can be confident going into this game against S/W when they were terrible against Athelstone. They were good in the first half but terrible in the 2nd half.

My prediction

Smosh will beat Walkerville by under 39pts
S/W will beat old iggies by under 39pts

Smosh & Walkerville will be a great game down there at smosh but i dont think iggies are hard enough or good enough to go all the way.

I have a tip for S/W - play Rolfe up the ground & dont give him a sniff. belt his arms away when his going up for a mark & he wont go near it for the rest of the day.
I hope Iggies win cause i think S/W are mungrals but i think S/W will be to good for iggies on the day.

But dont worry walkerville will be to good for S/W next week. -

I still recon the games need to be filmed & have off field umpires watching the S/W game's.

Exactly. Something needs to be done about S/West. I still dont think they will win this week (well im hoping) I dont rate them at all. Although they could make the GF and all get suspended again

I told you because if some chance you go all the way i hope Athelstone have one more crack at you guys which i cant see it happening anyway.

Oh by the way my amateur Div 3 tips from last week were all right -

Maybe i might be right about S/W this week.

You have to give it to Walkerville. On paper they look the weakest of the 5 sides in the finals race but to their credit they perform when it counts. I still think it will be a SMOSH v Raggies GF but good luck to Walkerville anyway.

I hope Salisbury West go out this week. Remember a few years back after Payneham beat them in that memorable for all the wrong reasons GF. Saw a few of the Payneham boys out the Monday following and the mood amongst them was just sombre. Apparently the mood back at Payneham following their premiership wasn't that of a club who had just won a GF. They were in a state of shock at the events that unfolded.

Salisbury West should have been thrown out of the competition there and then. Hope Iggies pump them by plenty this week.
