This game should definitely be a rehearsal for one of this season's finals (quite possibly the big one). Not sure if I want Central to win this week or not. Perhaps a Sturt win will have them overconfident for when they meet us again in the finals? On the other hand, this is the time for Central to start putting their game together. We have had a number of weeks of claiming that our performances have been due to our training preparation and experimenting with player positions. Well now we should be cherry-ripe and able to produce. This is quite possibly our fourth to last match for the season. We really need to finalise our game plan and put it together.
Hopefully the latter will eventuate and we will end up with the points. However, no matter what happens I think a great finals series is set up with anyone capable of beating each other on the day.
Cheers!

Agree with most posts.

We need to win this vital match to show the few doubting Thomases that under Ricky we are a Force in 2007 and beyond.

Show your true passion and let's fill HHEO.

Go U Baby Blues :D :D :D

SP, the only way some people will acknowledge Sturt as a side to be respected will be if they win the GF this year.

That is an outside possibility, but nevertheless I'm pretty comfortable with what we've done to date.

As for the game this weekend it should be an absolute belter. Given the weather forecast of fine conditions I think Sturt will be in with a good chance. How has Adam Thompson been playing for the Power? He was very valuable earlier in the year and is the type that would impact a game such as Centrals play.

Who is still disrespecting Sturt?

It appears to me that you guys want it to appear that way so you can 'stick it up' someone at the end of the season. Let it go and enjoy the footy fellas.

I'm not sure what your family reunions are like (though i’m guessing bitter and full of whinging) but i'll bet they don’t have this kind of atmosphere: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dcV3N4b-ExU

Hmm I was actually defending the Centrals supporters arguement in my response on this topic re Unley Oval so I don't know why your having a crack at me?

That'll teach ya' BPBRB, do them a favour and they'll bite your whole bloody hand off! Better off sticking up for us lovable Sturt folk!

That will teach me to but in on someone else's arguement! I should have kept quiet but having said that I should go back and review the other 500 times I should have said nothing!

I think the dogs would rather chalk this one up. We don't need to concede both games to a challenger. I'd rather smash them to be honest. In 2005 I think the Eagles were gone before they started because of 2004, they just seemed to be wanting to not get thrashed again. I'd like a team to be desperate to compete than desperate to win.

No chip on my shoulder smac. As I stated, I'm pretty happy with the way we're travelling and don't care too much what others say (unless it's something outlandish like LEH's comment regarding Sturts chances of winning any of their last four games).

Just hope we're strong enough to get over you guys for a second time this year. I reckon we are...

Three pretty handy ins for the Blues...Deluca, Gum & Bratton...

Still gonna be a tough ask though...

Go Blues and all the best to Tim Weatherald, a true blue Sturt man!

Just listening to ABC radio - Phil Bayley seems to have an issue with Centrals.

"You take your life in your own hands when you head up the Main North Road to the Ponderosa at night".

What did we do to him? Third time I've heard him make a smart crack like that.

Bloody North supporters ;)

When will commentators learn that they actually influence some people with their views? Comments such as this should be stomped on by the club or the SANFL.
