Won 15k in a poker tournament a few years ago and they gave me a nice fat envelope :D

needless to say the walk to the car was a bit nervous

Have won 7200 previous at Crown too and they just gave it to me in chips, which I could then exchange for a check at the cage (or go gamble :D)

I made my first batch of jerky over the weekend.

The first one I did was a Dr Pepper Beef jerky.

Considering it was my first attempt, I thought it probably might taste like shit, but its actually pretty good. Some pieces are a bit saltier than the others, but overall, I'm happy with the outcome.

I made about 300g worth, ready about 4pm yesterday. About 30g left. I like jerky.

I might do another one over the next two days. Instead of 300g I reckon I could get about 1200g in.

Gonna try a different flavour.
