They have half our team already so there is barely anyone left worth taking.

Wright was good for us this year surprisingly but Kerridge is a dud who you can have back.

Tex has plantar fasciitis in his foot and will be out for 6 weeks. Seems to be an on going problem for Tex.

They still reckon he’ll be right for round 1

I don't think he tore it, more a strain.
I have no idea on how long this type of injury takes, but unlikely for rd1 you'd think.

Had them myself very discomforting but if they jab him up he could most likely play through it.

that sucks, but at least he has done a fair chunk of pre-season so he should have a decent fitness base when he comes back

It can be an ongoing issue so I'd expect them to be seriously cautious with it. They'll be in no rush to have him back before it's ready.

Any of you recall the story of Robert Harvey jumping off a table to snap the tendon?

My brother in law was advised to do the same thing. Apparently it heals quicker that way.

I've had it for 20 years. I doubt 6 weeks will fix it but with orthapedics and a good medical team behind him he will learn to play through it.
I'd expect him to play round 1.

The club report said he reported soreness in his foot and scans revealed a slight strain. He has done the whole preseason training so his fitness levels will be fine, also said he will be back running in 2-3 weeks which suggests round 1 is very much a possibility.

You know Tex hasn't got gout, right?
