The SACA would probably want a big slice of the gate takings at Adelaide Oval. Central Districts is rightly representing the club sponsors and supporters playing at Hamra Homes Oval. The club also makes money from the pre match function and club & ground turnover.
Do you think the SACA would allow Centrals to receive this money if it was played at Adelaide?
I think not.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Disappointing last quarter by the Dogs.

Chambers got 7 sitting on 95 for the year now.

Crowd 3931. Pretty disappointing.

It sounds as though the dogs could have blown this game apart with some accurate kicking. Was that the case or was it tighter than that. How do you think Sturt are looking heading to the finals. Do you rate them a chance etc or do you feel more threatened by Eagles, North etc.

I think your observation is spot on there, ehl - the dogs could have blown the game apart but never quite did it. I was never particularly nervous throughout the game at all.

I still rate the eagles as the biggest threat but all of the top 5 can have a day out against another so I am not predicting anything just yet.

And I do believe that places the dogs as the first team to beat all others this season - can't believe it took until round 21 to play Sturt for the second time!

Dogs were way too good last night - the scoreboard was flattering to Sturt I thought. Dogs missed quite a few easy chances. We have a bit of work to do.

Not having Ryan Herring really hurt us - CHF is vital at the wide open spaces of the Ponderosa. I thought we were getting smashed in the middle late in the first quarter after a good start, and we had noone to match up on Lawry up forward.

Chambers was sensational again, while others to shine for us included Crane, O'Keefe, Nelson and Luke Button did a few good things. I thought Paul Thomas and Slade killed us in the middle, and as mentioned earlier, Lawry carved up particularly early.

We fought it out, but simply not good enough at the end of the day.

Sturt didnt look much of a threat against the dogs last night.

They are more than a threat than north though IMHO.

I thought our skills in close last night hurt us a little but that was probably becuase of Centrals pressure which was excellent.

The score could of been worse as the 28 point margin made the game look closer.

I thought we missed Herring big time across CHF and the coach to his credit tried alot of different options that just didnt work for him.

It was very noticeable when central went in really hard the ball ended up going forward very quickly all the time. The boys are looking to increase the amount of time they can maintain it for as well. Sturt were easily outclassed across the night, and apart from some poor kicking (O'Sullivan 3 awful shanks I can remember) for goal and a relaxing towards the end of the game the dogs appeared to be a good 12 goal better team. Especially good considering many of the young kids appeared to be good contributors across the night.

Central far too good for a battling Sturt.

We missed Feast and Herring and Gumy was never comfortable.

Please bring back Martin Mattner :D :D :D

We are a completely different side with Marty's wonderful skills. Stats suggest it could be Mattner in for Sturt and possibly Douglas or Bernie Vince back to the AC.

Sorry SP, but Mattner has played the grand total of one game for us this year - I disagree totally that we are a different side with him in the squad. We've done OK without him thus far. I would suggest that we missed the Fish a lot more...

Would have also been nice to have Slattery, Quinno and Luke Cowan.
Pete, accept that injuries are a part of football and that you cannot use the missing of Herring as an excuse for last night.

Well done Dogs. Looks to me as though they are slowly honing their game for a very imporant date a little later on, when they will be at their peak. I am sure the Blues would be better for the hit out though, despite getting belted.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Great game, Dogs always had it in control, even when Sturt got a bit of a run on the Dogs were able to shut them down.
Well done to the Sturt Supporters who made it out on Saturday Night, must have been the second largest turn out of opposition supporters seen this year at HHO. (behind Port). Their cheer squard sounded great in the first half. They are also much braver than most others as most were on the grandstand side with the dogs faithfull, instead of cowering in the family friendly area like most others do.
Nearly 4000, again no trouble at all.

Disappointing crowd, surely some one at the club should of noticed we clashed with the Crow game Saturday night and made arrangements earlier on in the season to re schedule this game.

Surely the administrators of SANFL clubs do get a draw of the AFL to compare against the local draw and the re schedule games accordingly.

Helllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooo out there lift your game and get it right next year.

Still a cupla players not working hard enough ie Noodles Ware should be dropped and so should Swooper Switala how do ya miss a goal 30 metres out.

Rumour is some players are hitting the piss if so, get rid of them now before the rot sets in!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

I thought Noodles' work rate was good last night, chased hard all game with lots of second efforts. Swoopers miss was nothing compared to Sully's misses. Obst & Dutschke showed plenty of poise & courage. It's going to be very hard for Wilson & Goodrem to break back into the side.

Hi!

As a totally fair Christian guy you'd understand that Sturt were missing some key players including Feast, Herring etc.

as I stated, the Dogs were too good but they were too good for us 4 times in 2002, however, failed to win the one we all won't to win. The Holy Grail.
