Yes, it's another Brisbane cup final. In the finest traditions of Gabba cricket, watch the pitch suddenly become a road after favouring bowlers all season. Strange metamorphosis that occurs each time a cup final is played up there.

You're being more than a little cynical here Hawk. The Gabba has the best batting wicket in the country these days and if the Bulls have been trying to scam themselves the Moo Moo it clearly hasn't been working with three losses in the last three seasons.

One team they would not want to face is NSW, particularly if Bracken and Magill are available for the Blues.

Anyone see any changes ahead for this week? Is Tait still available? If so I would perhaps think about playing Baily and Cullen together at the expense of ROfe or Tait if he is in South Africa. Just a thought as we have to win outright.

How about Cleary, a part of me thinks he deserves a go. Either way I don't think Rofe should stay in the side.

Thanks MK, well I'd play Bailey and Cleary on what I got to see last week. Rofe to carry the drinks.

If the Redbacks can't make runs against a Blues attack minus McGill, Bracken, Lee, McGrath and Clark they are a bigger joke than the Carlton football club.

I heard on the radio this mornig Manou is in doubt for tomorrow's game. I guess Deitz would keep wickets if he doesn't play? Which other keepers are around at District level.

Deitz would be the logical choice. There are some good keepers around including Kensington's John Palmer and Sturt's Todd "Bubba" Ferguson, but I couldn't see them going past Deitz.

Agreed. They must play the two spinners.
