Finals Combinations

Postby spell_check » Mon Aug 27, 2007 9:44 pm

These are the possible winning combinations and the finals outcome for the 4 teams involved in the double chance race. Keep in mind that draws aren't taken into account - cause the possibilites are endless then! And that the percentages are still in the same order.

Gold is Round 22, orange is Round 23.

Except for one thing - the positions in combination no.31 should be 4 - Glenelg, 5 - North. ;)

Thats awesome Spelly!

The amazing thing is that in permutation 5, 29 and 30 the bays can still finish as high as 3rd if other results went their way.... and although it is highly improbable I can actually see option #5 as an outside chance! yes i'm a dreamer, but its not so crazy:

1) bays need to beat sturt and eagles (massive ask but at least its in their own hands)
2) north beat west (cue north supporters to claim this is shaky)
3) sturt beat north the week after (good chance based on form, chambos 100th)
4) here's the catch.... south beat eagles in the last round... stranger things have happened given that cellar dwellars have nothing to lose on the last weekend

bays double chance! woo!

this calls for a zoolander joke...

M.E. "its like, exsqueeze me, but he was talking about double chance, not top spot"
SMAC "Well, earth to mightyeagles, i think he was being sarcastic"
M.E. "Uh... earth to smac, Duh, okay, I knew that"
SMAC "Earth to mightyeagles, i'm not so sure you did know, cause you were talking about top spot"
Doggies4Eva: "Would you guys stop it already?" (zoolander pout)

So there's only one combination out of 32 that would see the Double Blues miss the double chance...
