One thing that I have leanrt out of this and from the comments and support passed on that no matter who you follow or how well or bad your team is going, it appears that the true heartbeat of the SANFL and it's loyal lads (and gals) is alive and well and despite what some of you may think, we are all pretty similar in our thoughts and passion for our clubs.

So from me again thanks heaps and hopefuly it is still play on.............?

That is true. But what possible good was going to come from what BPBRB posted? He may expect an apology from the club and I think he probably deserves one, but perhaps he should take a look at his post and being a North supporter through and through, wonder what good it's going to do his club? It's a two-way street. Seems some Roost posters are using the site to run their own agendas to the detriment of the club.

BPBRB was just expressing his disappointment in the performance of the club he supports in a public forum. No different really to shouting out to a player during a game to pull their socks up. If the club chooses to use the comments in the way that North did here, then that's fine if it is likely to inspire them to greater things. Clearly though, instead of providing motivation, someone close to the team (or perhaps even in the team) with a green texta decided that BPBRB's comments were not valid and chose instead to deride him with personal and blatantly incorrect remarks...

How funny then that much of what he had written turned out to be so true.

In short, BPBRB will still be supporting North long, long, long after the clearly ignorant and immature **** who wrote those comments has gone...

Hidden ones?

People on the Roost want to install Holly as coach. :)

Personally I think Ian would be a better choice.

Here is my quote that was used - examine just how divisive and not a near factually truthful opinion this quote was - posted both on here and on "The Roost" later. Both are "unofficial" fans forums that envoke discussion and opinion supposedly?

Last week's let down combined with a game with heritage jumpers against the Bays can only mean one thing - a likely North loss
(And that occurred, has done also in the past wearing a heritage jumper against Glenelg - Fact. There are only 3 “in reality” outcomes to any game: a win, loss or draw. I thought we may lose so hang me for that if I was the only person who thought that?)
and the start of the end for 2007 and some at North.....
(Not everyone who is at the NAFC, be it players, officials or volunteers will be at the club in 2008 and beyond. Players retire or are cut, coaches come and go and officials and volunteers either retire or stand down or are voted out. Hardly anything sinister or undermining in that bit of fact?)
I have no confidence this week whatsoever
(not an orphan there – again hardly earth shattering stuff?)
and I would rather get missing the double chance over and done with this week rather than leave it to round 23 - just like in seasons 2004 and 2005
(Again my personal thoughts - if we are going to miss out then get it over early rather than tease us as has been the case in previous years? I could yet be proved wrong but I could also be proved increasingly right? So what is exactly wrong with that bit of opinion?).
Personally speaking if we lose this week I hope we actually slide out of the 5 rather than just make up the numbers for the sake of it
(Can anyone tell me on present form that we won’t be just making up the numbers? Factually I am now wrong as we can’t slide out of the 5 but up until Sat we could have mathematically, so I was on the money when I posted this during last week)
but the good lord will punish us North people and make us play another Elimination Final with the stench of failure hovering over like an atomic cloud about to choke us along with the skeletons of another failed season rattling away in the change room lockers.
(Throw away semi-humorous line to sum up my frustration about what is increasingly looking like another wasted season, as were the past years as referenced – anyone care to tell me that is not factually correct to date so far? Certainly many in the media think that and so do many at other SANFL clubs - so why is it my view being held up as some sort of shocking statement?)
In summary - I'm not worried or depressed to be honest - mediocrity is accepted too often in some circles at Prospect so you get used to it - now what's that old chestnut - you reap what......
(Mediocre – using a quoted personal opinion of a supporter and referencing it with a personal attack shows that some sections of the club do accept mediocrity but still won’t admit it – tell me that does not have some fact to it? Pre-emptive and on the money, so again what is so wrong having that view? Do we always have to be so blindly loyal and optimistic when we have been let down many times in the past?)

I just called it how I thought it may happen or start to pan out. If I had used a direct personal reference or attack on someone then by all means fight fire with fire. If my post had to be quoted as some sort of desperate motivationbal tool so be it but leave it at that - that has happened in the past and I have been happy to discuss with certain people who took me to task back then and they saw where I was coming from and respected my view and thoughts even if they didn't agree 100 percent.

In this case did I deserve the attached personal comment attack I received and to have it shown to all and sundry and be "condoned" by certain paid officials? I don't think so personally and nor do many people but maybe some of you are more thick skinned than me or believe that the ars*hole comment was justified or professional?

Well clearly I have been annointed as the Number 1 ars*hole.

Finally I share something in common with Rob Gerard. He is the No. 1 Ticket holder and I am the No. 1 ars*hole at the NAFC although there is a very strong list of possible successors and most of them not from the ranks of the members or supporters either!

Ironically their highest score in those 3 games was a loss when the kicked 22.10 in the last meeting last year!

And last week I said something like i'll get worried when Jarman stops having an all out attack and can defend as well .And wedgie mate you said you had the second best defence in the comp.
On yesterday's score doesn't look like the defence worked that well!!

Perhaps North need a coach in eitther the Laird or Fuller mould.

That loss wan't down to the defence Mickyj. We got hammered in the middle. Everytime we got it out of the 50, it came straight back.

I thought the defence did ok. Coulter needs to get some self discipline and McIntyre had an off day, but Hart, Schubert and Wintle were ok.
