Well, you are spot on bayman. the byes sould go in reverse premiership order - i.e. next year with the current positions, West in Round 23, South in Round 22, Norwood in Round 21, Port in Round 20 and so on.

No decision has been made yet and anyone professes that one has been made has no idea.

Let's hope they are all on Saturday afternoon but unfortunately my club has put forward a proposal to play on Friday night which met many boos at the club.

Fair enough mate, so if you're wrong we'll just question your CEO's credibility as opposed to yours.

Why boos? Again, it's all in the mind, but why wouldn't North to have an extra nights break?

1 night should make no difference as far as the players go.

I didn't boo so you're asking the wrong person but I can tell you that the families that go hate it, the drunks were unphased as they'll just get smashed at a nearby bar before the game but the parents hated the idea.
Suits me to a tee as I'll just stay in town after work and get smashed (only way I can handle Adelaide Oval) but there could be 3 less people going in my family.

The SANFL is sadly lacking in the younger demographics and decisions like this only hurt that issue even further.
Great for the drunks though but you've got to look at the bigger picture Spelly.

Luckily for me Geelong play on Sunday or Sat night so it doesn't worry me, would if I barracked for a crappier AFL team though, I don't though.

it wouldn't be the first time his credibility has been put under the microscope, perhaps he meant to say 'our' game is on saturday arvo, as for me having credibility we know i haven't got any

I'm thinking about me! :P And other neutrals that want to go. The split up of matches last year was the only way I could go to Adelaide Oval on the Saturday in Round 23.

Im thinking about the families and maximising crowds, I couldn't give a rats arse on what 2 or 3 diehards want.
As far as crowds go the experiment was tried last year, it failed, the SANFL should learn from failures.

well 3aw think before 'the announcement' that the program will go like this

friday port v west coast
sat hawks v crows
sat night c'wood v syd
sun geelong v kanga's
because of teams getting longer breaks from this week as possible while they thought saturday nights game would go that way for tv
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
