I recall a blackout up in the hills 2 winters ago, that lasted for 48 hours. Nearly 2 years for me now in Melbourne, not had one.

Was that the mother of all storms? That was about 2 years ago.

Fathers day.

Kids were so excited to give me a gift and the little things they had made at school and kindy. My absolute favourite was my 7yo daughters little book. It was a fill in the gaps and draw a picture type thing. The one page the made me laugh out loud said,

My dad is...
Wiser than..................... an Elf
Stronger than.................a cat
More handsome than.... my brother

Needless to say Little Nugget was not happy that he isn't as handsome as me!

Phase 1 of operation "Boon family swimming pool" was completed a few months back ( cubby house removed, fencing extended etc )

Phase 2, the removal of some gum trees commences tomorrow morning.

Phase 3, the pool install looking like early September.

Phase 4, swimming in it, soon after.

Phase 2 - Completed

Phase 3 - looking at 17th September

Phase 3 part 1 - grass and 120mm of soil removed today

Phase 3 part 2 - Big digger comes in on Sunday to dig the hole

Phase 3 part 3 - Pool in ( TBC )
