Steak knives for the McGovern / High draft pick trade battle?

Thanks but we have enough sh*t players already.
You can keep CEY.

If lukosius says yep I'll go to Carlton but I'm coming home in 2 years wouldn't it be better to trade picks and take Walsh?
A better result for all surely.

If Carlton trade the #1 pick how would they get Walsh?

Because lukosius will go pick 1.

Carlton would take Walsh with pick #1, and he won’t be there by their next pick (or the Crows pick if they traded for it)

They have one forward and a raft of young mids, I'm sure they'll take Walsh as he's a Victorian lad under their nose but they're mad ( and we all know they are ) if they pass up on Lukosius.
Even if they have McGovern in their sights they could play him across half back and strengthen their spine immeasurably with Lukosius at one and McGovern at the other.

I dunno, you’d have a lot more confidence in drafting a young midfield gun than KPP as the latter generally takes much longer to develop. In recent years Boyd, McCartin, Shache etc haven’t had anywhere near the impact as mids.
