Paine just doesn't have the flashy brilliance and big strokes, and didn't cut his teeth in T20.
Opened the batting in odi's for Australia and did OK.
Staistically Paine is a much better one day player than the long form.

List A- Ave 33 100's- 8
Paine has been great since being back for the Aus team. I think he's one of those players who rises to the higher level. He isn't a test number 6 though. 1 ton in over a 100 First Class/Test matches proves this.
