So ones that missed the draft get another crack? Seems weird.

Think guys that were injured last year as u/18's for carnival or missed a chunk of footy in their final year are eligible for over age...
Also if multiple scouts/ clubs want to see someone they generally get added.

Let the carnage begin!

Collingwood, GWS and Port Adelaide are indicating they won't draft anyone.
Brisbane, Fremantle, Geelong, St Kilda and West Coast do not have a spot available on their list.
Michael Knoll ( South Adelaide ) may have interest from Essendon or Richmond who need to bolster ruck stocks.
Few, if any, other South Australians are mentioned in despatches.

Knoll, Gregson and Hosie all invited to medicals. Knoll's invite (cute term) came Saturday morning.

If this is the way its going to be, with the AFL and the players riding rough shod over the sanfl clubs like this its time to play hard ball.
Currently most SANFL players seemed to have gravitated to 1 yr contracts, so they can hold the whip hand over sanfl clubs with negotiations at the end of every season. Also player contracts as I understand it in the sanfl have a clause that they can be drafted to the afl at any time.,and the sanfl contract becomes void.
Time to play hard ball. Sanfl clubs should delete the afl exit clause and all contracts should be for a set period of time - covering the preseason, season and finish on October 10. Where the player is free to go to the national draft or renegotiate.
