True, that's a very ordinary way for a premiership hero to go out.

Can someone please explain to me, with a couple of sackings this year and the constant pressure on certain coaches. After all that somehow Goodwin seems to be under the radar and still has a job??? Dees have been more disappointing than anyone this year

He's contracted for 3 years after this, no point even entertaining sacking him. Plus, Melbourne will treat 2019 as Adelaide did 2018, ignore it or treat it as an aberration.

St Kilda ruckman Billy Longer will step away from the game for the rest of the season to deal with a mental health issue.

The 25-year-old hasn’t played at any level since suffering a concussion in a VFL game in Round 10 and has only played one senior game this season.

Saints head of football Simon Lethlean said Longer will continue receive support from the medical team at Moorabbin during his time away from the club.

Yes, you'd rather go out on better terms, but I don't think it diminishes his achievements. Wayne Schimmelbusch went out the same way (IIRC) and he's remembered as great from a great era. I guess you rarely have the luxury of choosing when you're time's up.

3 weeks is long enough for him to recover from an ACL.

Does anyone know when Round 23 times for games will/ be released?
Have seen somewhere that it was going to be after the weekend just gone, but cannot find confirmation anywhere.
Heading to Melbourne that week and am looking to confirm which games (or games) I'll attend.

Thank you.
Taking my youngest lad to Melbourne, and have a contact for some corporate tickets hoping to be able to confirm which game works best ASAP, to have the best chance of getting my hands on two tickets.
