NPL Free Poker

Postby Dissident » Thu Sep 13, 2007 9:21 am

Hey all,

Has anyone done this? Does anyone go regularly?
I often venture to the Modbury Plaza Hotel and play on Wednesdays. It's a lot of fun.

Last night I had my first win =) About time!
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

G'day mate,

There was a thread on this a few months back I think ... Me and a coupla mates play every week at the Lakes and have all made the final table a few times, but haven't managed to pull off* the big one* ... Congrats on your win, thats a fair effort!

Always look forward to Poker night, which thankfully, is tonight! :D

Good luck tonight!

I've made a couple of final tables. I started slow when I first went, not placing. But the last 4 weeks I've finished 5th, 14th, 7th and 1st ... so my points are climbing!

my dh plays each week at the Bridgeway and Somerset Hotels - about 60-70 at Bridgeway and 90-100 at Somerset. He has one a tournament once and made the final table about 5 times..... because you won in september diss does that mean you are now invited to go to an event in Melbourne? DH says anyone who wins during this month gets an invite....

Isn't there a pub in town which is 100% devoted to poker, all the time? ie, not just one night a week

King Ten ....
Won 4 hands during the night flopping two pair with that including KK1010 against QQ1010 so that won me a crap load.

But when I won the final hand it was King high.

The guy who came second had 50k going in to the final table and I had 17 - blinds were 3 and 6 ... then 5 and 10k!

Pretty sure if you win in September you get an invite to the SA tournament at the Arkaba. Then if you finish in the Top 8 of that tournament you get an invite to the Melb tournament. NPL pay the 10k entry :D
