We are probably going to lose Kel anyway I think and we will end up with Darcy maybe. I'd rather Goldy before Ablett goes bald and Selwood can't run anymore.....oops.

Roughead reported to have signed for 3 years in a multi faceted role at St Kilda.

Includes list management, player development and a game day role. Good get for the Sainters.

Perfectly set up for when St Kilda come knocking on Adelaide's door.

They'll offer 6 years, if Adelaide don't offer 5 they can't argue with him wanting to leave, win/win for St Kilda/Crouch.

If there is any interest in Crouch then Adelaide should be hunting it down like they have never before. Get themselves a top 10 pick, or more and run with it.

So the perfect time to ask for an extension. Crows can risk losing him for not as much next year, trade him this year or offer him the contract. I wouldn’t be offering him anymore than 3 years with a trigger for 4 BTW

Could also be that SEN have been through a quiet week with no games played and making up a story to get people interested in listening ;)

To me it reads like his manager already has a four-five year offer from somewhere else and Couch and he are milking the current system for all its worth.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Selwood is an interesting case, he really looks to have dropped off the pace this year or is it because he's being asked to play more of an outside mid role as opposed to his inside mid of years gone bye?

Basically all of his numbers are career lows ( bar his debut season in 2007 ).

Possessions down to 20 ( 2007 - 19 ), marks, goals, tackles and inside 50's all career lows, the last 7 years over 120 clearances a year, 81 this year, contested possessions 250+ per years since 2009, 184 this year.

Hate to say it but he might be cooked. He has been hammered from pillar to post his entire career and it has to catch up with you sometime. His big role is inside as you alluded to but he is starting to get caught with the ball alot and he's no outside player. I'm not sure where Sel goes from here but I fear the end might come quickly for him.

31 with two years to run on a deal, you'd think he won't see out 2021.

He would be the perfect fit for Gold Coasts version of Hodgey. AFL should just pay what ever it takes outside the salary cap to make it happen. That would be the best help they could give GC rather than any pick handouts or 26yr old fringe players ala, Horlin-Smith and Murdoch, they were terrible this year.
