D-Day is coming for The Double Blues...

Postby LPH » Fri Sep 14, 2007 1:24 pm

OK... now that I have your attention, I am giving you the opportunity of the season: 8)

As I will be there on Sunday (in the Chappell Stand),
(Please remember I will have an 8 yr old with me)
IF YOU BEAT The Bays then you might want to seek some public VERBAL payback 8)

That being the case, I am MORE than happy to recieve your jibes
& clap the Blues off the ground
BUT...

Be prepared for a number of "Toodle-pips" if you don't

Look forward to seeing 1000's of Sturt Fans on Sunday !!!

Go You Eagles !!!

I guess you reckon you will be the only Eagles fan in the Chappell stand so you will be easy to spot. ;)

He will be easy to spot, all the Eagles supporters will be in the phone box arguing over where to play their home matches, Thebarton or Woodville Oval. The joys of following a hybrid football club.

LEH,
What bait will you be using this weekend for the toodle-pips?
Caviar?
The Stock Journal?
Country Road?

Given that Sunday is the Lord's day, maybe the schools of toodle-pips will be low in numbers, so a lot of berley needs to be spread far & wide.
I'm tipping that you'll need timing, because you may miss the run- from 2:30-3:20 would be ideal, watch your bag limit though.

Nope not gardening. Will actually head to Adel Oval also.
Hopefully another legs fan will be there so that Norwood fans outnumber Eagles fans :P

At least a forum such as this gives the opportunity to LEH and Punky to display their considerable wit to the wider public. I'm sure we're all thankful for that.....

Wit? That may only be half right.

Alas, my Volvo is being taken by my daughter to the Young Liberal's meeting, wifey is taking the Merc to the church fashion fete and little Alexander is off with the BMW to play rugger for his college. I will spend the afternoon going through my supreme court briefings and catch snippets of the games on 5AN (it is on ABC radio still isn't it?) as Sturt give Glenelg a right spanking.
My child is growing up without SANFL footy. It gives me the double blues.

I'll take that as an admission of retreat and belief that the game is a 50/50 opportunity for both clubs!
