A pack with just raspberries and pineapples would be a winner with me

Green snakes are always the last left in the snake packets.

I have to admit at having a look in the window on the bag to make sure there is not too many green ones in there. Happy to peruse 4or5 bags and pick the best one

Apparently the old choc coated scorched peanut bar is back, I haven't come across it yet. Anyone seen them?

Melba’s make the best. They have a fourth flavour, orange. Leaves the other 3 for dead.

Good news with a rain band stretching from Alice Springs to Melbourne looking likely to drop up to 150mm on parts of the Murray-Darling Basin over the next few days.

I bump into Tom Jonas most mornings at my local cafe when I grab a coffee, hell of a nice bloke, always willing to have a chat, asked a favour of him this morning, Mum's birthday today so I asked if he'd be kind enough to wish her a happy birthday on the phone, no problems, made one old ducks day that's for certain.

Birdsville - heaviest rainfall day in 9 years, 77mm, double the entire rainfall of 2019.

Fowlers Gap ( NW NSW ) - 121mm, equal to the total rainfall in the previous 977 days back to June 2017

Much of this will make it's way into the Murray Darling Basin, some will end up in Lake Eyre.

Something that once seemed a part of everyday life, a chore at times even, but watching my son get through a whole footy training session last night hit the heart strings big time.

2 or 3 weeks ago I thought there was zero chance of him playing footy this year, he couldn't get in or out of the car without stumbling and was getting dizzy changing direction running.

Through sheer determination he is breaking down the barriers that life has placed before him, he even took part in tackling drills.

We later had to attend an information seminar at the CDFC for his development squad and I was able to confidently tell the coach that I think he'll be ready to go by the season opener, he's put on a few kilo's again and he was moving around very swiftly, still plenty of boxes to tick but f*** it felt good to see the rapid improvement.

BTW, he got a hearing aid installed earlier in the week, it gives him headaches though.
