Do the AFL do realise they aren't footy and that real footy will take place regardless of an AFL being there, or not?

The AFL don’t want a handout they just borrowed $600mamber_fluid wrote:So the AFL want a handout from the federal government.
Happy with that to pay staff who have been stood down.
Not happy if it goes to players given some players are still on a couple of hundred grand and doing bugger all for it.

Individual clubs are applying for the Jobseeker assistance package so they can pay their staff

Maybe the top end players can reduce their wages another 20%.
That’d probably cover the costs of wages for assistance coaches/admin staff.
Yeah $1500 per fortnight like everyone else!!!amber_fluid wrote:Yeah right.
Didn’t know that.
So clubs who have a large number of well paid staff, who have now had to stand them down want assistance with paying them?
Correct.heater31 wrote:Yeah $1500 per fortnight like everyone else!!!amber_fluid wrote:Yeah right.
