Perfect excuse to get outside, avoid doing cleaning jobs and get the credit of an amazing meal at the end.

Did a 8 hour lamb shoulder a couple of weekends ago and was amazing, last weekend was a pork belly and today was some lamb shanks cooked in a red wine sauce.

Tried doing a red wine sauce for my shanks last week, red wine should be reserved for a wine glass IMO, they were still nice but my more traditional methods trump that.

Yeah, I used to watch that BBQ Pitmaster show on fox, obviously they have all the gadgets etc. I just want to keep it simple to begin with and then expand my craft.

I wanna try a brisket first up.

Just not at the same time, that's frowned upon in some states.

There are a number of people getting around, withdrawing their super as per the COVID-19 allowance, but their circumstances haven't changed they just cashing in on a pay day.

Are there consequences to accessing your super under false pretences, and if so what are they?

Have heard of that as well

There probably is a punishment but I don’t think the government would have the resources or would even feel the need to put the resources in place to police it.

My understanding is that the ATO have to tick off if you are eligible or not to withdraw it

The consequences are at the time when you need to fully rely on your super. Withdrawing $10,000 at the bottom of the market will be much greater in the future.....

Surely the ATO can see the impact via reduced super contributions over the past couple of months, compared to previously, I would have thought this would be an easy check.

Correct, however some people are withdrawing now tax free, then salary sacrificing to return that 10k, at tax advantaged rates.
Overall paying less tax and maintaining the same super balance.
