I managed to get one from Woolworths for $15. Doesn't have real time capabilities, I just probe when required and take a reading. Not sure if they stock them full time or it was a one off Aldi type special buy.Lightning McQueen wrote:How much was your thermometer?
I haven't got one yet, just relying on feel atm before going full scale.
There's no point in me having one for the sake of it and not getting the best out of it.

Yell out if you need a filing cabinet, I’ve got a 3 drawer in excellent condition just taking up room you can have.

Chimney, chimney, chimney, chimney.
I wasted so much time in my life getting beads started when i could have been doing it with a chimney all that time. It's the best investment you will make, its quick and efficient, it makes handling easier and is a ton load safer.

I used to place them randomly throughout the heat beads in the chimney, now I scrunch 4 into some newspaper to put under the chimney for the same result, probably better as it's a less aggressive burn to begin with.

Mate, it took me a while to work it out and even then it was only on Saturday I worked out that I only needed 4 firelighters.

I seen Gary Saturday at Bunnings and told him the same thing, it appeared to work for him.

You’d easily get away with 2 firelighters both broken in half .
