So if 2sqm per person rule is still being enforced, will visiting teams at Hamley need to get changed 3 players at a time?

Anyone know if Virginia retained their off season recruits?
Was told they 50/50 chance of staying.

Bute currently has 20 points according to fixture on Sports TG. Angle Vale with 15. That can’t be right?

It’s correct! Bute would never agreed to play in a different league if they had anything less. Bute have struggled for 10 years or more and need every advantage they can get. Heard tonight they are struggling to get the numbers to fill 2 sides now

Another quality decision by the APFL board
Looks like this year is just for a bit of a kick and catch.
Hearing one of the stronger sides has applied for more points and will be approved
7 days from a season starting....what a joke.

Would need to retain most from last year also as they have lost 3 quality players
Stanley, Staple and Bartlett held them together a lot last year.
Heard they may have lost their ruckmen from last year also.

Was it ever going to be anything else? Especially when you bring a club in on the hop for one season
Maybe your mob is more suited to the amateur league??

Bit of a stretch for AV to be in a country comp.

No more of a stretch than Ango trying to buy a flag last year and failing

Leagues don’t make the decisions! It’s voted on by league delegates so all the clubs approved Bute coming in with 20 points.
This year was always going to be a kick n a catch. I’ve heard already players have season ending injuries and it’s only the first game.
Clubs asking for more points is clearly from the influx of players from none playing leagues which any good coach would be asking if we can fit these players in.

We didn't fail last year against your mob. AV add value to a comp that potentially with the loss of another club i.e. Hamley, may put that competition at risk if AV weren't around.

Bute,Kadina and Southern Eagles were approached to play in the APFL. Bute said we will play if we can have our 20 points and play 3-4 games at Bute. It was voted on knowing those requirements So yes it was voted on by the delegates. Bute will not be a threat anyways.

Southern Eagles? Were the APFL going to be sponsored by BP?

Hamley will be around a lot longer than Angle Vale, ill tell you that much.
If Bute is allowed 20 points surely United could be able to apply for 20? Haven't played in a final since 2010 or 11 and a fun fact to add to that since that time every other actual APFL side has won a flag.

If you are going to direct your disappointment at current state of play direct it at the SANFL and the Community Football League who have made this mess where we see player v player, club v club and league v league with just a vested interest on their pay cheque more than what is best for football in the whole state.

The delegates never voted on the points allocation for Bute nor did they vote in favour for them to come into the league.
The vote was if it made even numbers then let them in.
