I wonder why he doesn't want to go to Sydney anymore?

Three years ago everyone was leaving Brisbane, now playing finals and players want to go there. Things can turn around quickly
Things turn around very quickly when the AFL intervenes. They couldn’t afford to have Brisbane struggling.
I guess it depends on whether Brisbane want to pick Joe up as a FA or trade for him as that will determine his wage. They might be willing to pay him $1m a year to get him for nothing

Isn’t he unrestricted?

Ah ok, I thought he was unrestricted. Wonder if Brisbane did low ball whether Essendon would match for a player that clearly doesn’t want to be there

If Brisbane offer a 5 year contract to a bloke at the sort of coin mentioned above who can barely get on the park then they are nuts. Agree he could be a good player if fit but if he's keen to leave for the right reasons he should accept a 2 year offer with triggers etc. For Brisbane (who are clearly close) to burn such a massive amount of the salary cap on an injury plagued forward is a buddy big risk.

Agreed, has to be questions over his ability to stay on the park.

Wonder what Mitch Robinson's thoughts are on Joe arriving, after he labeled Lynch a wanker for choosing to leave as a free agent to a good team chasing success.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

But people like Big Joe, heck, even I like the big giraffe...

Everyone, except Richmond folk, think Lynch is a Wanker...

With his best mate Joe going I’d look at cashing in on Merrett if the price was right. Sick of all the infighting and factions and Rutten may not be the answer but he deserves a clean slate

I can appreciate they might want Butters and Rozee to spend more time in the midfield and Gray probably only has 1 or 2 more years in him, but that's enough time to develop Woodcock into that role as the small forward and I thought he showed some promise in his game time this year.

Sam Gray has better career stats than Fantasia. ( Bar goals per game, 0.9 to 1.3 ).

No talk of Saad coming to Adelaide? Would have thought it would be explored with them holding the #1 pick in PSD.

He moved from the Gold Coast to Victoria to be with his family, he won’t leave Victoria again.
He wouldn’t get past North or the Hawks though IMO
