No justice in footy

Postby LBT » Sun Sep 23, 2007 7:32 pm

Eg. Threadgold being dropped for the GF, Colvilles injury, Dabrowski and Groke, Slattery walking out on the clubs that spent years developing them into grandfinals. And lastly, moneybags Schwartz lobbing up at the reigning premier  and finishing the careers of two SANFL stalwarts who stayed with Glenelg through the hard times(this is when you dont play finals every year eagles fans). Cant wait for you to bugger off in search of more coin Schwartz you mercinary. You shouldnt have even be at the Eagles... i thought the magpies were the Kangaroos reserves, reserves.

Please note not representative of all Glenelg supporters opinions....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Geez LBT. That defeat really has turned the grapes sour. Bays unlucky today, and came back pretty well in the last 1 1/2 qtrs. Lost by a single goal with 10 seconds left.

Try not to embarrass yourself mate. Better to calm down a bit before posting.

Not of my thoughts LBT.

Perhaps if the Bays kicked a bit straighter in the third...
Perhaps if Mouse didn't do his ankle in the last...
Perhaps if SLSP didn't do his leg, just as he had started getting the pill...

Man I am pissed but that's football, all credit to the Eagles today...

Maybe i shouldnt have named the player then....some just end up in the right place at the right time. Yeah i'm bitter another year over, no cigar Our ressies finished top and will now go out in straight sets and the wonderful power will now win their second GF .... :vom: . I am grumpy, yeah because my two favourite players whove stuck around since i was a schoolkid are now finished. i dunno what was worse missing it because i had to work because my strut fan boss was so confident last week that he saide "better go see the bays last game for the year" and gave himself today off... maybe he watched the 19s match

build a bridge. How do you think Sturt fans felt about last week lead the majority of the game and get rolled. I am lucky to have a TV to watch the games today after I nearly smashed it last week. Life goes on.....................

Pity you have the story wrong with Schwartz LBT.He palyed 11 straight games with the Kangaroos and was delisted.Ron Fuller and the Eagles were the first and only club(i think) to appraoch Ben.And he was recruited to play CHB.

I'd like to know who else was after Schwarze myself. I thought he was, for an AFL player a fairly low key recruit. Has found a much better home in the forward lines, a very strong pair of hands he has.

You complain about your fwds!!! How do you think we feel at North - all 3 tall fwds had very forgettable days in front of goals today but the real problem is it is not a one off week for our blokes - they are average at best each week!

I reckon I'd agree with you LBT if Schwarze was playing for another team. But perhaps that's what's been missing ofrom the Eagles over the last few years, because apart from Cica, we've never had one of those players other fans "love to hate".

Have to feel for Ben Moore, been a great servant of the Bays. Who else played their last game today?

That was the EAGLEs first win in three weeks .And why did the Eagles draw with Glenelg in the last minor round game 4 goals and six points the first quarter of that game.
The eagles kicked poorly last week against north, and the talls had trouble working together. And they did the same today poor kicking in front of goals and the likes of Kenny Mac not being able to get into the game. And the Eagles still lack a crumbing small forward last year all the eagles had were small forwards.

Sherwood likely to finish, Josh Mahoney unlikely to stay around.

Sherwood is another player I have enjoyed watching over the last few years. Still got plenty to offer if he wants.

If I was Bays i'd try everything to get Mahoney to stay, for his experience, and you'd hope if he could see the potential there over the next 4-5 years he might think it would an exciting thing to be a part of.

On the subject of feeling bad about forwards and missing opportunities, spare a thought for Central who have lost three key forwards this year (Westhoff to the Power, Cowan and Graham out injured).

Who would feel sorry for Centrals. They win the bloody thing that often it about time they lost players like every other club seems to.
