Yep, after resisting Foxtel for years despite St Kilda receiving minimal FTA games (a decade outside of the finals will do that ) I signed up with Kayo when it was introduced. Cant fault it really. With 2 kids under 4 the opportunities to watch games live and uninterrupted are basically non existent, so the on-demand aspect is a winner.

Ticket prices at AO for general admission/guests surely have reached their ceiling. Expensive few hours.

Agree. Only the AFL would have estimate figures on hand that they could make such assessments I suppose.

You would think if lower crowds become 'the new norm haha' clubs would then be actively looking at ways to minimise the financial hit, eg only opening lower sections of the ground, limiting security etc etc.

Or, do what Richmond are doing and play at smaller venues like Marvel

There’s an argument that is Adelaide given they have or are bottomed out where as in my opinion Port are about to start their slide

As Booney has pointed out their bottom tier of players don’t give them enough and watching their reserves there not a lot there apart from blokes who’ve been there for the journey (Hartlett). Yes Port have got some top end talent who will be around for a few years Wines/Dixon/ Rozee but there other top end talent will be gone sooner rather than later (boak/ Grey)

I know this post might be seen as a troll post but it’s a genuine feeling that the next 3 years are going to be dark for supporters of the two SA AFL franchises.

Despite having blown a golden chance last year, I feel the Power probably still have a decent chance this year and next.

Boak and Gray should have another year in them after this season. I had assumed that the list was pretty well-balanced age-wise, but I could be wrong on that.

Especially with talented players like Rozee, Butters and Dursma likely to become elite players I'd have the Power comfortably ahead of Adelaide.

It's just really hard to see them winning a flag with such a mediocre coach.

Port I think, they can reset OK as long as their youngsters continue to improve and don't plateau.

Im just not seeing what the future Crows midfield and forward line looks like, question marks everywhere

While our record v the top 4 this year suggests we can't win it this year we'll probably play finals this year and if you don't play finals you can't win it so right now we're closer.

Couple that with Adelaides midfield and forward woes which look like they'll get worse before they get better you'd think they're a ways off winning 14+ games a year and playing finals.

Not sure how much of a chance, but maybe it's the 2016 version where the system will carry you through.
